very great guitar
Comments about Squier Affinity Series J Bass:
Ok this is the second jbass I have played I use my schools 76 fender jazz bass and then my squire affinity jazz bass. I have put the fender bass away to play mine because the pickups on the fender just don't sound as well as my squire in all aspects the squire bass is a very good investment I would buy it again any day...

best bass for your money, from beginning to advancing bassists
Comments about Squier Affinity Series J Bass:
I have been playing bass for 2 years and have played many different basses, including mine, friends, and other bassist's; and all sorts of brands including Fender J-basses that this bass is modeled after. This bass performs as well as its predecessors that can cost 2 to 3 times more. This bass is also relatively easy to upgrade, not that you'd really need to. The dual J pickups let you go from very clean almost acoustic sound, to thumping out walking bass lines for jazz, and even plays well when your hammering out metal lines. It outplays and outlasts any other bass of a comparable price.

Great Bass for a Great price
Comments about Squier Affinity Series J Bass:
This isn't some cheese knock-off, it's just as good as a Fender. When I bought mine I also tried out the $500-$600 fender models and the affinity sounded just as good. Also the metallic blue finish looked ten times better then any of the other basses in the store. It's also very versatile, you can play any style of music on it (funk, blues, rock, punk, you names it), And you're never gonna beat the price. I recommend it for anyone no matter what age or skill level.

Perfect for the $, and the performance!
Comments about Squier Affinity Series J Bass:
The neck: No dead spots, no buzz and straight. Nut: of good QualityMachines: keep it in tune very well.Paint: excellent pickup: Low end is sick(awesome) Bridge: Fender not unless you want to pay 700 or more for a Fender of Amer. quality, and Moderate weight not heavy or lite. Overall I have no shame in my Squire, I have played LTD's, Ibanez even Traben, and dollar for dollar the playability of the Squire is top shelf, I LOVE the feel of the neck the best.

Versatile
Comments about Squier Affinity Series J Bass:
I've been using Squier bass since 1998. There is 3 knobs all together, one for the neck pick up, one for the bridge pick up and one for tone. You can produce different kind of sound by playing around with the pick up and tones. For e.g.If you like more percussive slap bass sound then can turn the tone knob down to around 3 o'clock. I like the feel of the bass and it can sustain the note. I change the pick up to EMG to give a better tone. Overall good for the price

great
Comments about Squier Affinity Series J Bass:
This is my third bass and by far this is the best. It has really great sound, and a very reasonable price. This is almost as good as a Fender and it would be great for a beginner. It has a really nice feel to it. The pickups have great sound and the neck is so smooth. You will really love the the easy string load bridge.

Style and sound quality
Comments about Squier Affinity Series J Bass:
I am a beginning bass student. I am teaching myself through videos and books. I like the feel and sound of this bass. It's a great guitar for the price. I have always had a great deal of respect for the Fender brand.
