Wow!
I can't believe such a cheap bass guitar can be so great. I am a beginner and I love it.

I bought this bass to replace a Fender Musicmaster Bass that I was forced to sell years ago. The Fender Mustang would have been ideal but the price was a little out of my range so I went with the bronco. It had everything I wanted , 30" scale neck , light weight , fender style but I found the pickup to be weak and lifeless. When I replaced it with a Seymour Duncan quarter pounder I found that the original pickup was not only poorly made(plain steel poles with little magnet strips under them) BUT the P-U was for a SIX String!! (6 pole pieces). I put good strings on it(D'Addario Half Rounds) and now I have a bass that looks and sounds SWEEEET at a fraction of the price. If your not afraid to "Tinker" this makes a good project , and a Great Bass.

SO EASY TO PLAY AND IT SOUNDS GREAT
Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:
I'm a pro guitarist/ bassist. I also teach music to elementary school kids. I got one of these several years ago for my son who was 10 at the time. Piece of cake to start on. I take it with me for an occasional gig- it's sounds that good. It's a simple set up. One volume, one tone. That's all this beginner bass needs. I just picked up another one for a middle school band director because the girl who is playing bass now in the band is struggling with a full size bass with high action. This one will melt right into her little hands. Good job on the simple design, Fender!

SWEET LITTLE BASS !!
Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:
Got this bass as a gift from my brother, and it is so sweet. It has the sound of a p bass if you roll it around to low bass. The neck is smooth as butter. I have been playing for 17 years on bass and also acoustic guitar for years, and I have had some nice bass guitars, but this one is my favorite, simple, easy to use, and does not strain the fingers. This one came from the floor model, so it has been used, but what minor issues I have had were easy fixes. Great little bass !!

Details Overlooked
Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:
Simple, small, race car red. That's basically what this bass is. It's nice in a simple kind of way. One pick-up, two knobs and that's about it. The tone is pretty bright, the set-up is decent out of the box and it has a classic look. If you need a small bass this is it. My largest complaint is just lack of attention to detail which I mean is kind of expected for the price this is also a great bass to work on because if you damage it replacement is pretty cheap.

niceyyyy
Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:
I am a bass player, but occasionally I'll pick up a guitar and learn a solo or two and this bass is like the hybrid child of a bass and a guitar. It's small like a guitar and has the tone and playability of a bass. I got bored one night and slapped some lighter gauge strings on this bass and I was quite impressed by the ...solo-playability? of this little bass. I give it high praise for not only being fun and easy to play, but for sounding great and adding a unique new tool into my sound arsenal

GOOD BASS GUITAR FOR BEGINNERS
Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:
JUST RECEIVED THE BRONCO BASS. I WAS SURPRISED HOW MUCH EASIER IT IS TO PLAY THAN A FULL SIZE BASS. I HAVE A HONDO BASS GUITAR. GOOD, BUT VERY HARD ON A WOMAN'S FINGERS. THIS BASS IS MUCH SMOOTHER TO PLAY. LEAVE IT TO FENDER TO MAKE A GOOD BASS. I HAVE A LITTLE PROBLEM WITH THE KNOB CONTROLS. ALSO, I WISH IT WAS A LITTLE LIGHTER ON THE SHOULDERS. ALL IN ALL A GOOD BASS. LOVE THE SHORTER SCALE. I RECOMMENDED BUYING FENDER SHORT SCALE BASS STRINGS. THESE STRINGS ARE MADE FOR THESE GUITARS. I REPLACED THE STRINGS, SOUNDS EVEN BETTER AND SMOOTHER. THANK YOU

Great Bass
Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:
This Bass is Awesome! It's really a good bass. It's even better on a 20 watt amp if you can't afford a expensive bass and want to learn. I recommend this all the way.

Love this thing!
Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:
Bought this for my 11-year old son but enjoy playing it too. The short scale is good for him and I play a Martin acoustic with a 24.9" scale so this feels right for me too. The fit and finish are remarkable for the price and you can get a surprisingly variety of tones for a single pick-up (single coil). Very light and comfortable too.

Worth every penny
Comments about Squier Affinity Series Bronco Bass Guitar:
I picked this up because my 10 year old kept eyeing my G&L 2000 and neglecting his Affinity Strat. So I got him a bass he can play. The problem is I'm the one playing it! This is our second Squire and both have exceeded my expectations, and if Fender would wake up they'd close their Mexican factories and have them made where these things are (I have 2 Mexi Strats, neither are as clean as either of our Squires). For $150 it is flawless, and is an excellent intro to bass for my 10 year old. If I'd spent $350 I might complain about the slight scratchiness of one of the pots, but for $150 I just might buy another one for the 8 year old!
