Great bass, great value.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stiletto Studio-4 Bass:

I bought my Stiletto Studio 4 a few years ago to add an active bass to my stable. The neck through construction makes fir an extremely comfortable heel joint, the frets were well manicured, and the hardware is rock solid. The EMG HZ pickups are very "uncolored", imparting very little character to the the overall tone. This can be good or bad, depending on your preference. I like it, as then I can do all of my shaping via the 18V preamp with 3 band EQ. It balances well, the 5 piece neck is very stable, I love the adjustability/stability bridge, and the satin finish is a nice feel. It took me a while to adjust to the jumbo frets, but again that is a matter of preference. Overall, an absolutely solid playing/sounding bass, regardless of the price point.

This is a Great Bass

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stiletto Studio-4 Bass:

This is a very nice playing and sounding bass. It really does a great job and looks and sounds like basses that cost two to three times as much. I currently play Rickenbacker, Hamer, Kramer, Gibson and Ibanez basses. I was considering buying a Spector CZ made bass, but this guitar plays just as well at 1/3 the cost. Playing thru my GK and Ampeg rig this thing is ultimately adjustable, and the EMG pickups w. 3-band EMG preamp work great. Add on neck-thru body construction, a maple and walnut composite neck with a rosewood fingerboard, maple body w. Bubinga top, graphite nut and Grover tuners and you can't go wrong. The only bad thing I can say is the molded case is lame so save your money and buy an SKB flight case.
