Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Omen Extreme-5 5-String Bass Guitar:
I played a Fender jazz 5 string but the neck was too chunky for me. I also played a Damien 4 string & a Stiletto 5 string. Loved the neck on the Stiletto but not the body. Liked the Damien feel & shape. Then I saw the Omen 5 Extreme "Special" don't know what the special stands for but this is an awesome bass.I bought it here @ music123 Pickups are Schecters own and they sound great. Lots of tone shaping flexibility, smooth and easy to play neck, I've only been playing for 1-1/2 years I've been playing a 4 string, time to step it up!! I played all those other guitars through an Ampeg Pro 4 head and 8/10 cab, to me the Schecters just sounded better than the Jazz, sounded fuller, brighter, punchier, & smoother, of course you have to play with the E/Q's. This is a helluva deal for a well rounded, Quality 5 string bass guitar at an Extreme value!! nuf said! Black Cherry (pics don't do it justice)
