Comments about Rickenbacker 4003W:

years ago i had a bad experience witha a 4003 MG. The neck was toooo fat and completeley uncomfort. But i hav ealwasy wanted to have a RIC and the walnut edition with MAPLE neck - my fave - was a challenge. To my super big surprise this RIC has an EXCELLENT neck and soooo fast and nice to play. The tone versatility is superb ..I prefer mostly MODERN but Vintage is useful in soem cases esepcially if you use distortion to get some Lemmy-ish kinda sound...The LOOKS? perfect...The STYLE? PErfect ..Bravo RIC i hope you continue this series THE W series and i recomend it ..NEXT TEST? to put B-E-A-D strings tune it liek a string withoit teh G string and i hope not to have a muddy open B. I trust the the neck through body will work.

    Comments about Rickenbacker 4003W:

Different having a Ric with the wood grain. Arrived ready to play and well set up.I like low action and dropped strings down resulting in a bit of fret buzz so I question if frets need to be dressed. Sound has the punch and sustain that the 4003 is known for and I love the separate pickup controls for tone and volume. Having tried the Ricosound output to two amps yet, but look forward to that avenue of tone shaping. Well worth the purchase!
