Fantastic bass

By Bassman-B4az3

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

Don't let the price fool you. This bass is inexpensive but it's an amazing instrument. I've been playing it for a few years and love it. The tone is great even on its own (I've recorded with it plugged straight into the board with no amp or effects and it sounds great). Put on the strings that you personally like and it'll produce a sound that you'll love. The hardware has stood up well since I've had it as well. It stays in tune, no problems with the bridge, neck, etc. My one qualm is that my B string doesn't intonate perfectly, but it's not that far off, so I'm not going to complain too hardily. I'd hightly recomend this bass.

Great Bass for a bigginer player

By Karl-HNJhE

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

I have owned This same bass (but the active pickup version) for about a year and a half, and i would have to say it is an amazing bass for its price. I dont know about the tone for the BXP version but the AC BXP has beautiful tone. I would definitely recommend spending the extra money for the active pickups. But this is an amazing bass for its price, it beets out some of the other 900 dollar basses i have played. It comes with exelent Peavey Nickel strings. and plays fast.

Everything I expected

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

I bought this bass about 2 months ago. Before I owned a Silvertone beginner bass. Before I bought this bass I had a friend play it and he was amazed by it. I play through a Fender Bassman 250/210, despite some problems I've had with this brand new amp, the bass sounds great, and that low B really growls. I give this bass 5 stars.

Terrible

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

It's even worse trying to play this thing out with a rock band. Pickups are very weak. Plastic nut. Please don't be sucked in be their beauty. Also the action comes terrible. The only thing I like is the wheel to set the action because your wrench turns with the wheel but thats it.

overall decent bass

By drew-nrmks

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

When I got this bass (I purchased a see-thru black one) I was in awe by its beauty. A truly magnificent finish. However, it took me a long time to get the right string height/bridge positioning the way I liked it. It sounds pretty good through a decent amp, somewhat growl. The action is pretty fast, a thin neck is the cause of that, which I like. A couple things I don't like are that you can really get the strings too too close to the fretboard, and the finish dents/scratches very easily. All in all I think this is a pretty good bass, despite a couple of flaws.

Awesome bass

By Mike-UiHbO

from McHenry, Illinois

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

This bass rocks! I would recommend it for everyone who wants to learn a 5-string bass to start out with. It sounds awesome, even when hooked up to a cheesy amp it sounded pretty good. I would give this a 6 out of 5 stars, if I could because for the price, it's a lotta awesome guitar. I play all sorts of stuff on this, from jazz to heavy metal and it sounds awesome. The only complaint I have is that the strings that come with the guitar are pretty bad, they snapped within a week of playing, but that's what kind of strings most bass guitars come with. I would tell anyone who reads this, to buy the guitar and don't hesitate because you wont be disappointed.

This is the best bass for the money

By cwd05

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

This is the best bass for the money! If you want to learn bass or want a good bass at a really good price this is the one for you. I've had mine for nearly a year and have no complaints. The action might not be as good as more costlier basses but I can't complain because it cost less than 300 dollars. I love this bass and I will never get rid of it or trade it off, it truly is a wonderful instrument at an incredible price

I love it!

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

I just bought that bass in purple. I love it. I used to have a Fender 4 string. It was a junky guitar, but with this new Peavey I can do a lot on it and it sounds great! I am in a God Rock band, and my bass rocks!

great bass

By lukas-uLQn.

from maine

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

I have had this bass for about a year now. It's the best instrument I have played by far for the price it is. I have played guitars that are twice the price and sound horrible compared to this bass. I play in a band and this bass gives the music a great kick. I recommend this for anyone who is starting to play or just wants a gig bass. The pick ups on this bass are exceptional also you can get a great slap sound from this guitar also.

Great for the price, but...

By Hector

from Puerto Rico

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

I wanted a 5-string so bad, and my budget was so low, I snatched this Peavey bass. For the money, it's great. Complaints: Plastic nut(!), B-string feels kind of floppy, and some frets buzz if you play hard, even after extensive set-up adjustments (added relief with the truss rod, and raised the bridge saddles quite a bit). The plus is, even with the raised action, it still is a breeze to play, and the sound isn't bad at all.
