good bass for beginners

By Jon Harris

from lakota,nd

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 4-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

I bought this bass in may of 2005 and its dun me good so far. No real complaints except there is some fret buzz on the 1-7 frets on the E string but other than that this is a good bass for beginners like my self. I got this in the sunburst which is beautiful. I've played other basses at some loyal stores that are three times as much but this is good for the price. So if you're looking for a good all around bass and you are on a budget this one can do you no wrong in any style of music.

Perfect bass for me

By Funkmetalman

from Manassas, Va

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 4-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

This is a good bass for the intermediate player. If you already know how to play and just need a step up so you can start to play with a band or something like that this is perfect. It lacks the highs that you find alot with J basses, but there is still plenty of room to mess around with your tone. Really good with slap.

awesome

By Teran McKinney

from North Carolina USA

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 4-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

This bass is incredible. The neck isn't too thin or too thick. Has dual pickups, and its very durable. Make sure you buy a peavy amp, its like perfection times 2. Its very cheap as well, functions like a pro bass but at a beginner cost.

Wow

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 4-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

As a player of the high speed metal world, and having small hands, this bass is probably the best. With it's pro features and nice price, it is one of the better basses out there.

What a bass

By C.T. Guzman

from Michigan City, IN

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 4-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

This bass is beautifully made. It looks like a bass and actually sounds better and has more tone difference than my Peavey Grind. Overall, a very nice piece of equipment for your buck.

Good value for the money

By Wahoo

from Tucson, AZ

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 4-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

Overall, this bass is a good value for beginners and intermediates. The passive electronics incorporated with the humbucking pickups offer a wide tonal range of clarity and crisp deep end, some long time Peavey players will be impressed especially those familiar with the Foundation series (that's when Peavey really starting making some strides with their bass guitars). This is a well constructed instrument with a good feel and balance, throw a good medium gauge set of strings on this guitar and you will not be disappointed.

A good bass

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 4-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

This is a good bass to start out on, noiseless pickups was key for me to start with. Anyone who is tired of the hum and like the sound of jazz pickups could get to like this bass. For the price it's nice. It's easy to move up and down the fingerboard while playing, especially if you have small hands. Also, the body is pretty lightweight.

very good bass

By Don Strom

from Jamestown NY

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 4-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

I have been playing a Fender preicion bass on the job for about 35 years, I got the Peavey Millennium just for a second bass but I like it better than the old Preision bass and I have been using it on the jobs.

AWESOME

By KC-H2BVU

from Patterson NY

Comments about Peavey Millennium BXP 4-String Bass Guitar Quilt Top:

This bass has the quality of an instrument costing at least twice as much. Narrow neck is perfect for players with smaller hands. Neck joint allows easy access to higher frets. Awesome!
