Few 4-string electric basses are as flat-out cool or have as much powerful tone as the MusicMan StingRay. Introduced in 1976, the StingRay was the first bass to feature active electronics and advancements such as a 6-bolt neck joint, contoured body, superior neck truss-rod system, and rock-solid bridge, all of which keep it on top of the pack. The StingRay is constructed with a select hardwood body, maple neck, Schaller BM tuners, 3-band active EQ, and MusicMan humbucking pickup.

this bass is simply amazing. the tone you get out of it is awesome. when i went to go pickup a new bass i had my mind set on a fender precision american deluxe. i was sure that i was going to go in play that bass and bring it home. that would have happend if i didnt play the sting ray. before playing the stingray i played the fender, i played a spector euro, a tobias growler and killerB. of those i personally enjoyed the killer b the most but then i played the stingray and my mind was blown. you can play it fast you can play it slow and you can get any tone out of it you want. i sounds great for slap and i can get a good tone out of it with my gk rig. i highly recomend this product and im positive you will not be disapointed with it.

This is one of the best production basses I have ever played. It's has become my primary instrument. The band loves the Fat clear tone. I can now hear chords instead of the mud I used to have. Nice built in three band active Equalizer. Excellent fast action over the entire neck, with a great truss rod design. Very easy to adjust and setup. My technical playing ability has improved with this quality instrument. Music Man Sting Ray rocks!

Ok let me just say that this is THE BEST bass you will ever buy in your lifetime. I had a fender p-bass before this one and the bridge would always go out and the pickup gave me no output at all, but Ernie Ball just gave me everything I want, from devastating lows to crisp highs. I play like Mark Hoppus from blink 182 and this bass gives you that really nice, active, full of energy sound, but if you wanna tone it down for jazz or something, youve got so many options for sound and tone. This is pure American made perfection rolled into 4 strings and wood. This bass is the best bass for any gigging musician, its built to take a beating, but please dont do that on purpose, shes special. I hope this review gave you some nice insight.

It's perfectly balanced, perfectly weighted, the pickup's are in the right place. It's comfortable, the sounds are phenomenal, and it's the perfect bass for slapping.Unfortunately it cost me nearly $2,000 here in the UK, but it's still well worth every penny.What more can I say? Invest!

I've bought this bass recently and I think it is simply the better bass who was never created...My Stingray is a 3eq Stingray with maple fingerboard, in Pearl blue with a black pickguard and matching headstock(the head is painted with the same color of the body)So it looks really beautifull.After that the sound is really unbelievable threw my Ampeg BA115 , and the 3eq who make this bass excellent for any kind of style.Simply the best....

I love the Stingray, it has a great neck. It's easy to play and the sound is stunning. It makes it fun to play bass because it helps you play better 'cause it's a Music Man Stingray! One of the best basses ever made!

It's a very good bass overall but for me it chokes on high notes on the G string and the treble knob is extremely tinny. However everyone that heres me play it loves it including myself.

Ernie balls are by far my favorite basses. No other brand even comes close to that tangy traditional Ernie ball sound. What I love about this bass so much is that you could tweak with the eq so much and you could get such great sounds so much, and plus it looks totally awesome =)
