A do-it-all Jazz Bass that can cover any session.
When you back up as many different kinds of musicians as Reggie Hamilton, you need a bass that can adjust. Reggie's Jazz model is set up to cover the spread. It combines a Noiseless Jazz pickup in the bridge position, and an American Series Precision pickup at the neck. The pickups can be switched to passive or active mode via a mini-toggle on the pickguard. Active mode has a 3-band EQ with boost/cut on each band. In passive mode you get master volume and a pan control between the pickups. Another custom feature is a Hipshot Bass Xtender drop D key on the E string to give you the low D without going to a 5-string.

Comments about Fender Reggie Hamilton Jazz Bass:
overall a nice bass, but the neck and truss rod leaves one wondering if the bass is worth it.I tried to adjust the neck and the truss was hard to turn and when it did,it wouldnt all the way.I had a bad bow in the neck and the truss rod didnt relieve it at full turn.Fender should addresse this problem and take heed, they should make a neck like the road worn jazz Imho has the bass neck of all the fender jazz basses.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Reggie Hamilton Jazz Bass
Comments about Fender Reggie Hamilton Jazz Bass:
The Reggie Bass is pretty much everything I would want Fender to build me for MY Signature Bass. It has a Drop-D tuner on the "E", USA P-Bass AND USA Noiseless Jazz pick ups. The neck is a very comfortable Jazz neck with really cool aging toner that gives it a great look. The PASSIVE/ACTIVE circuit is outstanding and makes this one of the most versatile basses I have played in a long time. This bass does it all: Solid P-Bass ROCK! to funky J-Bass POP! I will be adding a BadAss II bridge (suggested by Reggie himself) to complete my main axe. By the way, if you are unfamiliar with Reggie, check him out, he rocks!
