This is the only bass I own, but when I play my other friend's Washburn or his other Fender model basses, this bass blows them out of the water, Perfect bass for anyone, really smooth neck and easy to get around, and clear, crisp sound, a really great guitar overall.

Mark Hoppus Bass

By Scotty-n0kzW

Comments about Fender Mark Hoppus Signature Bass Guitar:

I seriously recommend this bass to anyone who even has the slightest thought of buying one. I got mine in Olympic White (it already has the black pickguard installed unlike the white on white in the picture given) and it is absolutely amazing. Don't listen to people that complain about the "no-tone knob" because in my opinion a bass sounds weak when the tone isn't jacked up therefore it's not even necessary to have one. This baby is played through my Fender Rumble 100 amp and it couldn't sound any better. I used to own a Gibson Explorer and the Hoppus Bass would destroy it anyday. The neck is also very easy to play some fast catchy bass solos. I've wanted this bass ever since they produced it, and I'm so happy I finally bought it. Well worth the money!

You're paying for a name and nothing more.

Comments about Fender Mark Hoppus Signature Bass Guitar:

The tuned down effects and and lack of deep tone make this instrument a step down from your standard Fender P or J bass. If you're in a Blink-182 cover band, by all means this is the base for you. If you're not, and you're serious about music, look elsewhere for a dependable and versatile instrument. Fender makes great basses, but this is not one of them. Personally, I bought a bunch of parts and built my own Fender. I took a J-Bass body and pickups, then strapped a Preecision neck on it with some Fender flat-wound strings, and I've never played a better sounding bass. Anything is better for an aspiring musician than this.

Solid bass for beginners and Pros

By Joe-IPDnR

from Oshkosh WI

Comments about Fender Mark Hoppus Signature Bass Guitar:

I learned to play on this bass and it is still one of my favorites. This bass has only one "sound" and only has a volume knob but if you have a decent rig you should be able to find something that pleases you. Very solid, easy to play P neck with the more ergonomic Jazz body, I've dropped this bass several times with no damage. Mine came with a low action and was perfectly intoned; there was no fret buzz even with the low action. I did lower the pickups but that is the only change that I have made to date. If your not playing out of an Ampeg SVT you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference, in fact you'd be hard pressed to find a better bass for the money.

Awsome

By Sam-6ZFU0

Comments about Fender Mark Hoppus Signature Bass Guitar:

My friend suggested this bass to me since I'm a big blink 182 fan. I wen shopping, I played this thing and I fell in love with it. There's a rumor going around stating this bass is bad since it doesn't have a tone knob. That's a lie. It really doesn't need a tone knob, that's just how "toney" it is. It has great punch and tone. It's great for playing live. I greatly recommend this bass to anyone who has the money

perfect bass for Hoppus fans

By jason-ktSNp

from england, slough

Comments about Fender Mark Hoppus Signature Bass Guitar:

This bass is perfect for the style of music I play. I am a huge Hoppus fan ever since back in the day so it seemed fit I buy his bass. It has a jazz bass feel to it, but a very unique sound. I like the sound of this bass however I suggest trying one before you buy as this may not be the right sound for you! There is not a tone knob, and you do only get one sound out of it, however I love the raw fat clean sound of this bass, and I would recommend it to any punk bassist!

very good bass!

By zack-SLqE0

Comments about Fender Mark Hoppus Signature Bass Guitar:

This bass is very good the tone is awesome and with the single knob it makes it very simple, it already has the perfect sound for a p-bass I owned the Mark Hoppus {surf green} p-j bass for 2 years before I sold it and bought an american jazz bass and the tone on the Hoppus bass is almost equal to the USA fender. The only problem I had with the bass was that the neck was to fat and it needed more tone control but a very good bass for anyone that play pop/punk style and doesn't mid having 1 sound.

Brilliant Sound and Look

By Anthony-pptrS

Comments about Fender Mark Hoppus Signature Bass Guitar:

This bass guitar is truly awesome. I only bought mine a week ago and already I'm in love with it. Not only is it good for punk/rock but also funk and slapping. The look is awesome and the pickups are top notch. The sound is identical to blink's. It is also easy to play with a great action/bridge. The tone can be changed through your amp because the bass has no tone control.I fully recommend buying it as it will keep you occupied for a long time, and it is great fun to play.
