I bought this 70's Sunburst Jazz Bass to take the Place of my expensive Original 1966 Fender Jazz Bass that I did not want to take a chance of gigging with and to my Surprise it played very well without any changes but I added a Tortise Shell Pick Guard, Chrome pickup covers and put a Scroll F Neck Plate in place of the Plain one. I also changed the Strings to the Flat wound Stainless Strings and now it is a Bass Players Dream Bass and I enjoy Playing it as much as my 1966. You can't go wrong with this Bass even though it is made in Mexico. It looks and Plays GREAT and just as good as a more expensive Bass. I am Very happy with it and glad I had a chance to get a good deal on it.
