Huge sound and solid playability!

Sunk into its flamed maple top are a pair of heavy-hitting SB-4 pickups designed to give up a massive wall of low-frequency mayhem. The 5-piece maple/walnut neck bolts up to the mahogany body and has a rosewood fretboard fitted with 24 XJ frets, pearl dots, and the model name at the 12th fret. Tweak your tone with volume and balance knobs plus an ESP ABQ-3 active EQ. This is one very nasty sonic package housed in a dark and deadly instrument that looks as hot as it plays.

Features
  • Bolt on neck with 34" scale.
  • Basswood body with flame maple top
  • 5-piece maple/walnut neck with 24 XJ-fret rosewood fretboard
  • Dot inlays with model name at 12th fret
  • ESP SB-4 pickup set
  • Volume, balance, and ABQ-3 active EQ
  • Tune-o-matic bass bridge

Add this wicked axe to your arsenal with the assurance of our dual 45-day guarantees!

Massive sound

Comments about ESP B-208FM 8-String Bass with Flamed Maple Top:

I had a Hagstrom 8 string and used it from 1969 to 1972. In the old days there wasn't a lot of use for the 8 string. I purchased the ESP in 2001 and have used it in live shows and recording sessions. It is great. Todays music makes room for most anything and the 8 string fits nicely. This one is especially nice due to the great amount of available settings and the EMG pickups.

Comments about ESP B-208FM 8-String Bass with Flamed Maple Top:

I have had the ESP B-208FM for a couple of months now and I couldn't believe how easy it was to learn how to play an 8-string. I was a bit apprehensive about buying an 8-string bass having never played one before. Now I don't think I ever want to play 4-stings again.
