What a DEAL
Comments about Dean EVO XM Bass:
Great sounding bass with plenty of punch. I love the short scale because I'm a guitarist also and have small hands, it fits my hands perfectly. After adjusting intonation and bridge height it plays great, the pickups are not adjustible but they do work well anyway. Definately a must have. I may buy another one so I can have one with Flatwounds and one with roundwounds.

Fantastic Quality ,Sound and Easy to Play!
Comments about Dean EVO XM Bass:
As a guitar player, I always used my Gibson EB3 bass to record in my studio until the headstock on it broke. This Dean EVO XM Bass actually feels and sounds better. The humbucking pickups are powerful and I don't need to use a gate while recording. Great feeing short scale neck (for us guitar players), cool shape and finish with the low price make this bass a winner! A+++++

Excellent Bass/Great Company
Comments about Dean EVO XM Bass:
Just purchased this bass less than a week ago. I play in a country/blues/oldies dance type of band. I am small in stature and a full size Fender P or Jazz just isn't my style. This is an excellent buy for the money. A quality instrument with good action and balance. This is second Dean I have owned. I also have a Dean acoustic electric. I like it very well also.

Excellent for pro or beginner
Comments about Dean EVO XM Bass:
I just bought this bass a couple of weeks ago as the final addition to my arsenal. I have owned two 5 strings(Fender Jazz 5 & Squier P-Bass Special 5) and one 6 string(Dean Edge 6) and both basses have done more than enough for my sound. I have always been pleased with their different sounds. I decided to add this bass because it's unique shape and for my technical slap bass work. It's thick, full passive humbucking tone is great. I started out with some slapping, but eventually found out it could do the job of regular finger plucking bass work as well. Very small neck provides excellent speed moving up and down the fretboard. Slap bass tone comes out full and balanced. Not too much treble or fretboard buzz. The action is a little high from the factory but can easily be adjusted with the tools they send from the factory. It also has a beautiful finish and the dot markers on the fretboard look like little Earths. I played it through a Fender sidekick 60 watt amp, a Fender Bassman 400 Pro with a Hartke Amplifier, and an SWR Megoliath 1200 Watt 8x10 with a Hartke amplifier and all achieved a great tone. Skeptical because of the price, but consider it a steal. Give it a shot. You will like it.
