great bass
Comments about Axl Badwater APJ-820 Electric Bass Guitar:
I am not a bass player although I can play bass if I have to. The main bass in our band broke down during a gig and we had no backup and we had a bit of trouble getting it repaired, which fortunately we were able to do and we finished the gig. We realized we needed a bac kup of some sort in case we had this problem again. We have backups for all our other instruments and so we decided to buy an inexpensive yet cool looking bass for that purpose. When the Axl bass arrived we immediately went over it from head to toe and critiqued every facet of this instrument. So far we haven't changed anything from the way it arrived in the box. The last two gigs we played our bass player has used the Axl and has all but laid down the Fender precision . He says this is the coolest bass he has ever played and he has had over thirty years experience playing every music genre there is. He is crazy about this bass. It looks tres cool (we opted for the brown) and there's one thing for certain, it really stands out. And the sound, well you can make this thing sound any way you want. It is powerful, meaty or you can back off of it for country or gospel...it will do it all. It has been said that this is a better bass than the Fender precision and that must be true because our bass man just laid down his precision to play it. It really thickens the mix in our band and we have come to the conclusion that we made a very wise purchase. Worth far more than we paid for it, we'll keep it and highly recommend it to others.
