It's retro, it's chic, it's all-tube and it's all VOX.
Way back in 1961, VOX rolled out the AC4 amplifier. Nearly 50 years later, VOX is pleased to announce the AC4TV—the all-tube practice amp with remarkable self control. This up-to-date Class A version retains the distinctive EL84 power tube of the original AC4 amp and features a 12AX7 powered pre-amp, all driving a custom-made Celestion 10" speaker. The sophisticated sound is unmistakably VOX, delivering that distinctively British top-end tone.
Simple and sexy, the AC4TV wears its pedigree proudly. The cabinetry features the same TV-front design first used on the classic 1958 AC15, and still in use on today's AC15H1TV Heritage Series. One of the challenges confronting an all-tube amp is retaining a full tone at lower volumes. To solve this issue, the AC4TV features a built-in power attenuator, with 4W, 1W, and 1/4W output levels—ensuring you never lose that classic tube tone, even at the lowest listening levels.
The AC4TV also adds a 16-ohm speaker output, allowing you to add an additional cabinet and state your sonic signature with authority.

Comments about Vox AC4TV 4W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I have been in need for a new practice amp for quite awhile now, and I could not have been more happier by choosing this little Vox. Don't let the size fool you. The 10" Celestion speaker can really be loud on the 4 watt setting, which surprised me! For years I was using an 8" Crate solid state amp which was 15 watts, but not nearly as loud. This Vox has the crunch, tone, and clarity that has made this a true gem, especially for the price. My favorite feature of this amp is the switchable power. You can use this amp to do low volume practice in your room, or you can take it and have a small jam session using the full 4 watts. It sounds like a small AC30. The tone is unmistakenably Vox. I'll play my Gibson SG reissue or my Fender Strat on this box, and every chord and note is rich and full. The only downside is there isn't much other than a tone control knob and the power swapping, if you're looking for features. There's no reverb on the amp either, or fancy effects you'd get on some other amps. But for the price, the tone, retro good looks, and the sheer flexiability, this is one amp you need to buy. It's also very lightweight and portable. Trust me, this amp is awesome.
