Mondo wattage with the SubWave and overdrive circuits of the Mo'Bass.
The 750X Bass Amplifier Head's Subwave technology produces a pure and accurate octave signal while the overdrive pushes the internal preamp's 12AX7 tube circuitry to create subtle, sweet crunch or nasty growl. The SWR 750x's included custom footswitch controls both effects. 750W RMS into 4 ohms, 850W into 2.6 ohms, 425W at 8 ohms. Pre-master preamp out, variable-mid EQ, sidechain effects loop, effects blend control, adjustable limiter, XLR balanced out, tuner send, pull turbo, pull transparency, and speaker on/off switch provide unlimited flexibility onstage or in the studio. For professional use, the 750x is designed for easy installation in ATA rack cases. 19"W x 5-1/2"H x 15"D, 31 lbs.

A Total Beast
Comments about SWR 750x Bass Amplifier Head:
I have thrown everything at this amp including the kitchen sink. It is loud and thunderous. The ground around this thing shakes with my current rig; SWR Goliath Sr IV 6X10 Cab connected in series to my Behringer Ultrabass BB410 cab. These cabs can be connected separately to the SWR 750x head or in series. I personally like the buttery, cream-filled punchy sound I get by hooking these up in series; however, this is not for the faint of heart cause you run the risk of damaging your equipment. But, I haven't had any problems and it's never failed me since owning it over the past 2 years. So far, SWR heads and cabs are the best IMO. If you want a heavy-duty system and a professional sound that can handle any venue, buy SWR. I am loving this amp and haven't found anything that competes with this rig.

smooth but picky
Comments about SWR 750x Bass Amplifier Head:
I purchased this amp about 3 months ago for a full on touring rig. Little did I know that it is very picky about the cabs you can use with it. I have an Ampeg 215 and an Ampeg 410, but with this amp I cannot use both cabs because it is a mono amp and can only run efficiently at 4 ohms without risk of damage. If you can afford a megoliath or two Goliath 3 8 ohm cabs then you are set for life. Other than that this amp is amazing, great tone and loud as hell! Both effects work perfect, I really love the octave effect, thick and smooth. This amp is too powerful for just one cabinet unless it is an 810 or 610.

Great
Comments about SWR 750x Bass Amplifier Head:
I recently went out to find a new head and rig. I tried several, such as hartke and fender, but I kept coming back to this one. The distortion is nice and smooth, and the subwave is undescribable. Great joy to play, I recommend to anyone!
