Comments about Soldano Decatone 100-Watt Triple Channel Amp Head:
Very user freindly, very well built, and absoutely awesome on tone. Everything from spanky clean to warm clean, plexi Marshall to a hot-rodded (and I mean hot-rodded) JCM-800, to harmonic overdrive that cuts in a band and would make a Dual Rec. cry. I use it through a 412 straight cab with Celestion Vintage 30's in it and mic through a PA with a Sennhieser e609, and play a Gibson Explorer with stock 498R and 500T pups. I cannot be happier with this amp. Well worth it when considering there's no doubt this will last the rest of my life and the level of customer support Soldano gives. I was a little apprehensive at first of the shared eq, but it doesn't matter one bit because the channels are voiced so well together. Also has seperate channel volumes to keep the master maxed for total tonal output at any volume. (This told to me by Bill Sundt, co-designer of this amp with Mike Soldano!) He or Mike answers all calls and questions! Hand built in the USA, great tone, easy to understand, and accepts effects beautifully. (Through the tube buffered effects loop). The clean isn't Fender Twin Reverb clean, but is very useable for such a high gain monster. After all, if you want Fender clean, buy a Fender. If you like to rock, and rock WITH TONE while having fun doing it, buy a Soldano. You won't regret it.
