A compact amp with a broad sound.

The Rogue SC40R guitar amp delivers a true stereo chorus sound in one compact package with 2-channel switching between a clean and overdriven sound and built-in reverb.

For years, guitarists have appreciated the bigger sound that adding a chorus effect brings. The problem with effect pedals though is they can't deliver a true stereo sound unless you've got two amps.

The Rogue SC40R solves that problem by incorporating a true stereo chorus in its preamp section and then pushing the effected sound through 2 high-fidelty 8" speakers. Whether it's for jazz or rock, a stereo chorus effectively doubles your guitar sound, making it fuller and more interesting for all styles of music. The tone-shaping controls are extensive in the Rogue SC40R with mid-frequency adjustment that can pinpoint the exact tone you're looking for. The Rogue SC40R also has controls for dialing in reverb and distortion making it an amp that really can cover it all.

The Rogue SC40R includes an input for connecting a dual footswitch to trigger the stereo chorus or switch between channels. There's also an 1/8" stereo connection for MP3 or CD players and a headphone out for practicing without waking up the neighbors.

Comments about Rogue SC40R 40W 2x8 Stereo Chorus Guitar Combo Amp:

I am a hack. I have played AT guitar for 40 years. I have never played in a band. I love music, particularly guitar, but have never been disciplined enough to get serious about learning it. I do, however, have several hundred guitar oriented CDs from the 60's to the present. I am, also, a sucker for a good deal on a guitar / amp. I currently have a Harmony Rocket, Teisco made Silvertone, Danelectro 7 string, Fender Squier 51, Fernandes Dragonfly and others - all bought cheap. Amps include a Peavey 50 watt "Blues Classic" tube amp and a Line 6 - 75 watt Spider, among others.Point is: I may not be much of a player, but I know what sounds good.In short, this amp is crisp, with nice crunch and good output. It also sparkles nice and clean. It is simple with good range. I am more impressed with the amp as a whole than the "chorus" factor. It makes me sound good and want to play. It's a keeper. It will be replacing a 15 watt Line 6 that I use upstairs.Shop well and you can get it for $100. I got lucky and got it for [$]. Dollar for dollar, best deal I ever got.

Great sounding small amp with nice features

Comments about Rogue SC40R 40W 2x8 Stereo Chorus Guitar Combo Amp:

Bought this when the priced dropped recently. I was looking for a smaller practice amp with a "fuller" sound. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to dial in a nice sound when plugging in either a "single coil" or "humbucker" equipped guitar. The reverb and chorus effects definitly add the fullness I was looking for in a nice compact size. I realize this amp is not designed for acoustic-electric guitars but I gave it a try anyway. The sound (with my Adamas) was very "BOOMY".

At the reduced price, you won't find a better deal that has all of the features this amp has.
