The Legendary Pignose

The Pignose guitar amplifier is the answer to the worldwide demand for a high quality, economical and completely portable amplifier. It's powered by six pen light batteries or by an AC 9 volt converter (optional) which can be stored inside the amplifier case. Pignose gives the electric guitar the same mobility as the acoustic. You can attach a standard guitar strap and sling it over your shoulder! It's a Practice Amp
Practice time doesn't always coincide with access to a power source and a large equipment supply. And you don't always want to practice at high volume. With Pignose, anywhere you practice, (hotel room. garage, limo, kitchen, dressing room or a place in the park), becomes your rehearsal hall. It's a First Amp
For the student guitarist, Pignose is the ideal first amplifier. It combines economy with quality. Pignose will never outlive its usefulness as a faithful and dependable travelling, practice and recording amplifier. In addition, Pignose has a preamp outjack which makes it possible to play the Pignose through a large and more powerful amplifier. Many professional musicians have been using Pignose as a preamp while performing. It's a Performing Amp
The Pignose sound has proved so desirable that it now appears in live performance. It's not a question of hooking 600 Pignose in series: it's done by playing into a singular Pignose and amplifying the result with the usual host of amplifiers. It's a Studio Amp
If there's a situation where sound is critical, it's in the studio. That is where Pignose will really surprise you. Pignose works in the studio for the Real Pros. For example, on any album, a guitar can first be played into Pignose, then into the board. It's Not Just a Guitar Amp
Any instrument you can amplify you can play through a Pignose, including your own voice. These Are Some Pignose Owners:

Little PigNose, Big Sound

By

from Lahaina, Hawaii

Comments about Pignose Legendary 7-100 Portable Amp:

I was surprised when I opened the box with my new pignose legendary 7-100 amp I got from Music123. I thought "my, that;s pretty small". But when I powered it up and pluged in the mic, I put it to a sound test with my Lee Oskar harp. All I can say is WOW, Great sound, I love it. For an amp that size to have the sound it does, is amazing. Good job Pig Nose.

One Trick Pony

By

from Ft Bragg, NC

Comments about Pignose Legendary 7-100 Portable Amp:

If you like the trick, you'll be happy. If you're looking for a kinda clean kinda overdriven tone, this amp will work. And it'll be decently loud as long as you accept that you won't peel paint off the walls with a 4" speaker. If you want a cleaner tone, look somewhere else. If you want more distortion, get a different amp. This thing will not disguise your playing ability either. If you sound good, it'll let you sound good. If you sound bad and wanna sound good, buy this amp anyway and practice a lot.

Great amp

By

from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Comments about Pignose Legendary 7-100 Portable Amp:

Great for blues and clean sounds. Not for heavy rock or metal. If you want heavy tones buy a micro cube. If your into clean/bluesy tones this is the practice amp for you.

Awesome - worth every penny

By

from Connecticut

Comments about Pignose Legendary 7-100 Portable Amp:

I play in the NYC subway, and my Crate Taxi had to go to the shop. I needed a quick interim fix, so I ordered the Pignose. The little thing cranks. I play acoustic lap-style, and my guitar has a soundhole pickup. I've started to run that through a pre-amp, and using a Y connector, can plug in both the pickup and a microphone. The tone is remarkably true, as well, and it's a lot more portable than even the Crate. I run it close to full volume, and the batteries seem to last about 4-5 hours.

Great amp in a small, affordable package

By

from toronto

Comments about Pignose Legendary 7-100 Portable Amp:

Let me put this amp into perspective for you: at a club here in Toronto, a guitarist was leading his blues band using *nothing other than this amp*, leading into a mic, for his guitar sound - and the sound rocked. While it's not a metal-level amp in terms of distortion, it's a perfect practice amp and it has a surprising amount of depth in the "clean" tone for such a small, cheap amp. Most importantly, although it has no tweaking knobs, you can actually tweak the sound greatly by deciding whether to open or close the actual case. Closed, it gives a bottom heavy, bass-type sound with grungy distortion and a Gibson-style clean tone. Open-case, it gives a lighter, twangy Fender type sound with distortion that leans towards trebly thrash. I use this thing all the time for quick practice, and especially to carry around when I'm just bringing a guitar over to a buddy's house or a small-sized event.Add to all this the ridiculously cheap price and you have a great little amp. Highly recommended.

Rocktastic!

By

from Charlottesville VA

Comments about Pignose Legendary 7-100 Portable Amp:

Oh man this was the best $70 I've ever spent. I love this thing. It has the clearest, most beautiful sound I've heard in an amp its size, it has an awesome case with storage space inside, it's tiny and portable - what's not to love? I'm keeping my picks in there, the adaptor, my extra strings...It used to be that I'd be walking around with my guitar, and my friend would have his banjo, and somebody would ask us to rock out, but I couldn't, because I had an electric guitar, but now I can, because of this little saviour.

Pignose amp and adapter

By

from Salmon Arm BC

Comments about Pignose Legendary 7-100 Portable Amp:

I just recently bought a 7-100 Pignose amp and its the greatest little amp out there, the only problem I have had is trying to fit the adapter inside the amp case for storage. The adapter seems to big. has anyone else had this problem? If so is there a way to fix the problem short of destroying the amp? thanks

tough little dude

By

from new orleans

Comments about Pignose Legendary 7-100 Portable Amp:

I have had this amp for 20 years. It is tough as nails. It sounds great. Open and close it for tone or run through it to a larger amp. If you get one, it will be your little buddy for life.

Honkin' and Harpin' with the pignose

Comments about Pignose Legendary 7-100 Portable Amp:

Bought it for Harp, and love it. Using a JT30 Mic it honks really nicely. Pretty loud for its size, but if I need more volume, I'll mic it or run it into a bigger amp. Light, sturdy, simple. I know this isn't a tube amp, and it's not a Fender Bassman, but for 70 bucks, it's real hard to beat.
