Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

After 25 years of home-made pedalboards, I decided to invest in the Pedaltrain 2. After spending the time to mount a Pedal Power 2, velcro, arrange my pedals and tie-downs, I'm very happy with how easy it is to pack and set-up. I spent a lot of time researching whether to build another board out of wood versus going with the Pedaltrain. I simply don't have the time to go to that trouble and I'm glad I found a holiday sale to make the decision even easier. The board is light, the velcro is working well, and the gig bag suits me fine to transport it all. My only problem was the carrying strap. It arrived with a sticky corrosion on the metal latches. Not what I would expect from a new product and definitely the literal weak link in comparison to the high quality components of everything else. I'm not going to spend the time or hassle mailing that one piece back. I luckily had several other unused straps from old laptop bags that work even better. So, I'm loving the professional appearance and functionality of the pedalboard but the lack of quality control of the carrying strap drops the rating 1 star since I'm judging the product as a whole.

      Great board, bag?? meh

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

I got one of these before they shipped with the power supply hardware but I still love it. Along with a George L's cable kit and a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus my board looks really clean and "pro". I leave all of the cables plugged into the board (power cable, guitar input, effects send/receive [20'], output to amp [20'], amp footswitch cable [25']) There's enough space in the bag so I can roll cables and put them under the board as well as roll some up and put them on top of the board. I use a towel over my pedals to keep the cables from moving the knobs. I can also fit my guitar stand (Ultimate GS200). The zipper pouch can fit a bunch of stuff too - set list, notepad, cables, etc.
I have a Strobo Stomp 2, Boss tremolo, BudWah, Zakk Wylde chorus, MXR 117 flanger, Dunlop Rotovibe, Keeley true bypass looper, Maxon AD999 and a Pedal Power on mine for the time being.
The biggest knock is the shoulder strap loops on the bag. One of them broke off and my board nearly crashed to the ground but luckily I didn't have anything in my hands at the time and I was able to catch it. Also, the velcro thingy that holds the two handles together has come unstitched and separated from one of the straps but that's not too big of a deal.
I recommend this board but if you plan on lots of toting then the hard case may be the best bet.

      Pedaltrain: THE Pedalboard

      By Wyatt Marsh

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

The Pedaltrain is absolutely fantastic. The velcro is great, especially since it allows me to rearrange my pedals when I want and to make room for new ones. It makes for a quick setup at gigs and practice, take the board out of the bag, plug in the instrument cables, plug in the power supply and go! The gig bag is great too and really protects the board and pedals well. Just recently I was carrying it up a few flights of stairs and set it down at the top of the stairs and the board fell straight down, about a fifteen foot drop. A 30 pound Pedaltrain, not rolling down the stairs but plunged straight down and landed on the hard concrete below! It was quite an impact, I thought for sure it would be badly damaged. Well, the bag protected everything perfectly. Not a scratch, not a ding, not a dent, nothing! The pedals were held safely in place by the velcro and the gig bag protected everything. Thank you Pedaltrain! A quality, affordable, professional pedalboard.

do yourself a favor and get one of these...

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedalboard with Softshell Gig Bag:

it's probably one of the best pedal boards out there. It lets you tuck all the wires and cables underneath so you only have pedals to deal with on the top (the way it should be!!!), plus if you pair it with a voodoo labs pedal power, you can mount that underneath as well to conserve more room on the top for more pedal space. there's not a day where i regret getting this board, it makes my life so much easier gigging around and playing back at my place.
