I play bass in an experimental rock band and use a plethora of effects to achieve a wide variety of sounds, as does the guitarist in my band. He bought the more expensive version of this board that has the removable aluminum plates to allow for routing and comes with the pedal pad power supply. We found out that the ppower supply for that caused a lot of noise/bees/humming so he took it out and just uses a power-all instead now.
A few months later I found this version of the pedal pad board and decided to get it because it doesn't have the noisy/useless power supply and has the entirely carpeted board so that I didn't have to mess around with the velcro so much. I also liked the idea of something that was more simple than my guitarists board since having the routing underneath is kind of redundant anyway because you want as little cable length as possible to preserve your tone.
Now my guitarist is really jealous that I got this board for nearly half the price he got his "higher end" one and it because it works so much better than his. Great design, built like a tank, easy peasy to lug around all of my pedals with. The only complaint we have about these boards is that while they are certainly wide enough, 13" depth isn't quite as long as we would like because it made it much harder to figure out how to manuever 10-13 pedals on the board with that depth, as a result a few pedals had to hit the floor. Everything else is great though.

Nice pedal board. Well made. Simple. I bought it for 2 reasons. It is big enough for a multi-effects pedal and my DR-880. Reason #2: I can drill out holes in it for cable routing if i want. I was tired of the mess of cables. This works out great. And there is still room for me to add a multi-track. I do not recommend getting the Pedal Pad power supply for this. It does not fit in the bottom of the pedal board. If I had to do it again, I would have gotten the Boss power supply.
