Comments about Peavey VYPYR VIP 2 40W 1x12 Guitar Modeling Combo Amp:

The amp has plenty of amp models and effects from which to choose. It's loud enough to play with most drummers without being miced. The Sanpera pedal is pretty much necessary but it costs about as much as the amp.

Comments about Peavey VYPYR VIP 2 40W 1x12 Guitar Modeling Combo Amp:

Three amps in one! Yes, I know it has dozens of models, but I mean Electric guitars, Acoustic and Bass all in one. Instead of having three amps sitting around this one will do it all! Great for our Church.
Now mine was described as gently used, and I got it for 127.and change, great price. The amp works perfectly there was some cosmetic damage plastic corners broke on the bottom front and rear, and one ding on the right side front as you are looking at it. But still, the amp works great. Included in the price was an owners manual on CD, PDF file and also included was Reaper recording software, trial version. I have not availed myself of this, but I did print out the PDF version of the owners manual, you need it as this amp has some awesome effects that the manual helps to explain their usage.
To use the looper effect, you need the Sanpera foot pedal, I will be acquiring one of those in the near future.
I chose the VIP2 as it has more effects than the smaller one and the 100 watt is to big for my needs. 40 watts through the 10" speaker works for me and the places where I play. Mostly acoustic with my ej200, and sometimes with my SJ and occasionally with my Fender Precision 66 bass. I really like this amp, everyone that has seen it marvels at the effects available and its ability to accommodate the different musical instruments.
