The MXR M-135 Smart Gate Pedal gives you 3 selectable types of noise reduction: Hiss, Mid, and Full. Bites down on hiss and hum but lets all of your music shine through. Intelligent design provides dual high and low adaptive filters, opens at lightning speed, introduces no extra distortion, and lets you control the sensitivity of the gate's threshold. The MXR M-135 Smart Gate Pedal features hardwire bypass with footswitch and slim, tough stompbox housing.

I use a cool guitar amp head but with a lot of noise on the signal. Now the noise has gone considerably! Fix the setting u need and that's it. Now I can use the gain at maximum without no problem. Sound quality seems to be great too!

I love this pedal, I use alot of gain and distortion and this little thing shuts my rig right up when I want it to, it will Not effect or sound or tone at all and it will Not stand in your way. I HIGHLY recomend that if you need a noise gate you get this one!

I recieved my MXR-135 Smart Gate yesterday and hooked it up to my Fender Stratocaster with a Hot Rail into a Crate Blue Voodoo stack (VERY high gain). I kept the switch on "mid" and was rather dissapointed for the first few minutes. I then changed the setting to "full" and turned the treshold trigger all the way down and was AMAZED. I can now play at full volume on gain 8! The only noise that remains is that gain/tube sound, but it's not horrible. If you play with high gain and high volume, you CANNOT go wrong with this noise gate.

Did some research on this pedal to see what other people had to say about. I was impressed, It doesn't cut off your sound like any other Gate, it Gate's even when your note is still ringing. Three settings and adjustable knob, Set and forget. This thing is as close to a old Rocktron hush as you will get.
