This unit is so neat you almost want to buy one for every room of the house! OK, let's get serious. The gain is weak, as other reviewers have said. If it had a little more gain, and reverb (how much would that cost to throw in? not too much), it would be awesome. Now it's ok for whatever most people would use it for (if they didn't just use it as a knick-knack), such as in a car, a park, or during a blackout! It's as loud as I would expect, and will allow me to practice up anywhere I desire. It's a novelty not to be outdone! Considering what you can get a Fender Frontman DSP amp for money wise, like I said, it should have better gain and some reverb. But I'm happy to have exchanged my $$$ for it and would suggest you do the same if you need to practice on the run or in the park. Now, here's the weird part. I set my guitar on the floor, and next thing you know I hear music coming from the amp! It was a radio station! I'm no electrical engineer, but perhaps the cord could have been acting as an antenna? But then why doesn't that happen with regular amps? It wasn't loud, and didn't impair the function (when I turned the guitar volume back up I couldn't hear it anymore), but was strange. Anybody who knows about this stuff feel free to e-mail me. One last thing, although it says it can be powered by battery or mains, the product DOES NOT come with the converter to do so.

I have to admit that the coolness of the look of this amp is a very strong feature but this little thing has a very nice sound and gets pretty good distortion if that's what you want. One problem you'll want to know about, however, is that it's somewhat hard to get it to stand up when a cable is plugged into it. The pull on the cable as you invariably move your guitar will make it fall over. While it has some small metal bars designed to stabilize it, don't expect that to happen. That's not a serious problem, however, but just don't expect it to stand at attention while you play.

Nice one
Comments about Marshall MS-4 Micro Stack:
I bought this little amp as a joke to show my friends I have a Marshall "full stack" at home and I must say that I like this little thingy, it's a real nice practice amp, whenever I go to my friends band rehearsal, I usually bring along my 25 watt amp, this time can bring the MS-4 with me and have some fun while they are inside raising hell.If you want a small amp to carry around with you, this one is the way to go.

Awesome little amp! 11 out of 10.
Comments about Marshall MS-4 Micro Stack:
Just got this mini stack today and love it. Set it up plugged in my strat and played a few licks. Awesome! Stand is a little difficult to pry out, and handle is fake. Great tone. Picks up my bass pretty well too. 12 stars!

Great
Comments about Marshall MS-4 Micro Stack:
This little Marshall amp is great. I Play mostly AC/DC and BLACK SABBATH and this amp good for that classic rock and metal. One thing about this amp is that it can get loud for a 4 watt, and its great for on the road or just traveling.

Marshall MS4 Micro Stack
Comments about Marshall MS-4 Micro Stack:
The MS4 is a MS2 but twice the size. You can have the full Marshall "Stack" in your house for a great value price. This practice amp sounds really superb and it gives great tone and clarity. With the Pre-Amp Gain added as well, you can also get brilliant distortion effects. Great for solos etc. All in all this amp ROCKS!
