Awesome analog tone and precision tonal tweaking.
The 2x12 Marshall MG102FX is a 100W combo amp that has 4 programmable channels, awesome analog tone, adjustable FX, and more amazing features. Now at your disposal is a separate digital Delay, meaning that a total of 3 custom-voiced FX can be combined at onceâReverb, Modulation (Chorus/Phaser/Flanger), and Delayâcreating near-endless FX possibilities. What's more, the Reverb and Delay FX decay naturally when switching between channels for a truly fluid performance. If you want to add extra pedals and/or rack effects, you can make use of the amp's switchable External FX. Set in series and at instrument level, this send and return system is suitable for both guitar and professional units alike.
The MG102FX has power-amp damping circuitry that lets you switch effortlessly between the feel of a classic power amp with the emphasis on mids, and that of boosted speaker resonance in both bass and treble frequency ranges, magnifying the response and projection of your tone. Everything is switchable via the front panel and/or the included programmable MG Footcontroller, affording you complete control. You'll also find that the headphone jack on this top-tier Marshall MG doubles as a very handy line out. It's ideal for sending your jaw-dropping solos to any external unit you wishâa computer, digital recorder, or PA system, for example. As when used with headphones, the amp's speaker is muted, allowing silent recording. Output can then be directly monitored from the external equipment being used.

Comments about Marshall MG4 Series MG102FX 100W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:
Excellent sound, period. The unit powers up by default into four preset channels that are spot-on at providing that great "Marshall Sound". No tweaking necessary, and this sweetheart makes anybody sound like a guitar hero. Plenty of volume. The digital effects and reverb are fine throw-ins, and none of the effects are "over the top". This thing is rugged. It was dropped (sacrilege!) on it's top-right edge from a height sufficient to crack the right side of the cabinet completely through - from front to back, and from outside to inside. The amplifier section and speakers were completely unaffected, and after some serious cabinet repair it was functioning like new. Downsides? It's expensive (but a good value) and it's a little noisy at extremely low volume.
