Amp Models:

Clean

Red LED: Crisp, shimmering clean tones and warm jazz tones.
Green LED: Glassy clean tones like those from the late 60s/early 70s. Inspired by a '73 Hiwatt Custom 100.

Twang

Red LED: Classic, glassy high-end with some snap and bite. Inspired by a Fender blackface '65 Twin Reverb and a blackface '64 Deluxe Reverb.
Green LED: Swingin' rockabilly tone a la vintage tweed. Inspired by a '53 Fender tweed Deluxe Reverb, a '58 Fender tweed Bassman, and a '60 Gibson Explorer.

Blues

Red LED: From gritty, swampy clean tones to syrupy smooth drive tones this was inspired by a mix of a '65 Marshall JTM-45, a '58 Fender Bassman, a '63 Fender Vibroverb, and a Supro.
Green LED: Early British rock tone made famous by the Beatles and the Stones. Inspired by a fawn Vox AC-30 with an updated and expanded tone control circuit.

Crunch

Red LED: Classic crunchy tone popularized by many early metal bands. Inspired by a '68 Marshall Plexi 50-watt.
Green LED: The infamous brown sound inspired by a '68 Marshall Plexi 100-watt with a few added extras - jumped input channels and a Variac transformer.

Metal

Red LED: Tight and punchy high-gain sound inspired by a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier.
Green LED: Use this for aggressive high-gain sound. The mid knob sweeps the tone spectrum. Set to minimum for fuzz-pedal characteristics, set to noon for creamy, modern high-gain, or crank it for Class A carnage.

Insane

Red LED: Famed and feared bone-crushing, brain-piercing grind inspired by the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier red channel.
Green LED: Short of a complete meltdown, this provides as much input-gain distortion as possible while retaining tonal definition and character.

Effects:

Spend more time playing and less time tweaking with Smart Control FX. Find the effect you want, turn the knob to the desired intensity, and you're done. Spider Jam offers seven effects, including dedicated Reverb, to choose from, and you can use up to three at a time. They include:

Chorus/Flanger

Comments about Line 6 Spider Jam 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I originaly went to buy a line6 spider IV 150 to replace my Peavey half stack, and ended up test driving the spider jam, needless to say I went home with the spider jam. Awesome tones and I was able to have a song on cd within a half hour of messing around with the thing. Five star all the way!

Every Home Needs One

Comments about Line 6 Spider Jam 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

If you think you might need a looper/jammer/modeler rig in your life, this in the only real choice. The 12-in. Celestion will handle most anything and the on board effects will give you a reasonable stab at most tones. I say reasonable as the flange/phaser/chorus cannot be nuanced enough to replicate -- with one knob -- the five or six factors that really shape those effects. But to give you a taste, something very jammable with a bud or two at decent, not mudded out volume? Absolutely. Have no buds? The high-quality built-in jam tracks will keep you company and pump up your chops as you bounce across the many styles. Shames the G-DEC tracks. You'll be the uber-jam bud in no time, especially if you take care to note the key and tempo of the tracks, training your ear as you go. So this is primarily a learning tool? Yeah, absolutely. So what. Besides, the modern distorted tones this baby will spit out are there for the experienced player who digs those tones and styles and maybe doesn't want to crank a half-stack all the time at home or knocking around, testing riffs. Hit something good, loop it, keep it, solo over it. You have fun yet? I am.

The Best Amp out there!!!

By David-SniaK

from New Jersey

Comments about Line 6 Spider Jam 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

With this line 6 amp model there are an infinity of things to do with it. There are twelve amp models, tone control knobs (bass, mid, treble, channel volume, etc..), over 200 tone presets, over 200 backing tracks (bass, drumsand some with guitar in them). Inside the amp is a built in tuner, flanger, chorus, tape echo, sweep echo, delay, and phaser. This amp will never dissappoint you. The 2' tweeter and 12" celest speaker will blow your head of with amazing quality and sound. And when you turn up the volume you can hear them from miles away. Altogether this amp is AMAZING it goes from clean to twang to blues to crunch to metal and finally, last but not least INSANE. This amp definately deserves more than a five out of five. Plus with this quality amp, the price is great.

What it is!

By Dan L

from suburban chi-town, IL

Comments about Line 6 Spider Jam 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Keeping in mind that there is no universal solution, this one comes close. First, it's loud enough to play with a live drummer. The models are awesome. Okay, it's not a tube amp, but it provides a full range of acceptable models that no single tube amp will provide. The loop recorder is a serious tool for learning, cleaning up your chops and note taking. Will it give you a finished recording? No, it's a development tool, but it'll get you in a position to get to the production stage in style. Keep overdubbing, with bass, with keyboards, and with a live mic. What other amp offers such flexibility? For what it is, it's money well spent.

The last amp I'll ever have to buy in my life time.

By joe in NOLA

from New Orleans, Louisiana

Comments about Line 6 Spider Jam 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I got the Line 6 spider Jam 75X1 amp and couldn't be more pleased. i even sold my Fender G-Dec 30 to buy it! and it is the most powerful amp i ever had. I also have a 500 watt crate with 2X12 inch speakers and i would rather use my Spider Jam amp. even though my Crate has wheel on it the Spider is easier to move around. and i will most likely sell the crate amp anyway. its just taking up space in my small house. But if you want the ultimate amp that you don't need any body else to do what you half to , This is it ! And i most likely never have to buy another amp in my life time.
