An amp that lets you experience pure simplicity, total control, and excellent note articulation with chordal clarity

There is really nothing like the sound of a maxed-out 50-watt amp&hellip the Fryette Pittbull Fifty/CL Tube Amp Head sounds great at all volume settings and especially loves to be cranked hard. With two highly flexible channels, "Red" & "Green", that are similarly configured but voiced slightly differently for a wide palate of pristine clean, slightly dirty clean, spanking crunch, and harmonically rich overdrive. Gain Stacking activates an additional 12AX7 gain stage for each channel. The Fryette Pitbull CL lets you silently switch from classic crunch sounds to blazing overdrive. Running the Fifty/CL with medium gain settings and a wide-open master volume produces a fat creamy crunch with shifting harmonic overtones that makes it feel like it is playing itself.

Fryette's exclusive Enhance Mode power supply technology puts tube or solid state rectification at your fingertips and is assignable to channels for expressive power amp performance on demand. The amp head's footswitchable Boost Mode puts two gain modes per channel under instant access. A Six-Band Graphic EQ adds unlimited tone sculpting potential and can be operated manually, by footswitch or assigned to a selected channel. Simplicity and unlimited expression only begins to describe the Fryette Pittbull amplifier.

Top Of The Line But Not For Me

Comments about Fryette Pittbull Fifty/CL 50W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

A work of art but could not get past the fact that there is no true clean channel. With some tweaking and the loss of a lot of headroom you can achieve so so cleans but thats it.Beautifully clean distortions but not as much saturation as I would like.Top of the line in quality and workmanship.Perfect for the skilled guitarist but for those of us who are not at the top of the heap of skill and technique you will hear your inadequacies coming out of the speakers. This amp will make you a better guitarist because there is nothing to hide behind. What you hear is the true tone of the guitar being played and the ability or lack thereof of the guitarist playing.Kept mine for about two weeks before I returned it mainly due to the lack of clean and the need to keep my finances in order in case I came across"The Amp".But there are many times I wish it was still sitting on top of my cabs alternating time with my Mesa single rectifier.Tons of features and if you can afford it and don't need extreme cleans go get it .You will not be sorry.
