It's back—with the same warm tone, unique circuitry, and vintage-style features and looks.

The Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue 40W 1x12" Combo Amp rocks — and not just for the blues! In 1993 Fender released the Blues series amps to great success and acclaim. These modern versions of vintage Fender amps from the '50s improved those designs with channel switching and reverb, while retaining the vintage style and tone. When the series was updated, the extremely popular Hot Rod series was born and became a new standard in tube amplification. Now Fender has brought back the Blues designs to satisfy the increasing number of enthusiasts who continue to request the warm tone, unique circuitry and vintage-style features and look of the original versions.

The Blues Deluxe Reissue, a reinterpretation of the classic Deluxe amp with a tube complement of three 12AX7s and two 6L6s produces 40W of air-moving power through a 12" Eminence special-design speaker. It has Normal and Drive channels with independent Gain and Master for the Drive channel and a Bright switch for Normal channel. It also has an effects loop, reverb, presence, master volume, three-band EQ and Standby switch. Original Blues series styling includes a chrome control panel, vintage chicken head knobs, and, of course, genuine tweed covering.

Blues Deluxe - Best amp under $1K

By Brian Volk

from Undisclosed

Comments about Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue 40W 1x12" Combo Amp:

I have a Hot Rod DeVille and just sold my Blues Jr. This is by far the best amp under $1K for what it delivers: massive volume, grit/drive, clear cleans, responsive, musical and simple operation. I liked the tone of my HRD, but moving it can hurt you. Now I have a portable tone monster. For blues, you will not regret buying this amp. Buy the HR Deluxe if you want a metal amp!

Classic Fender sound

By Rick

from MA

Comments about Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue 40W 1x12" Combo Amp:

I've had this amp for about 9 months and this is the classic Fender sound that I like.Pristine clean tones on the clean channel and grit blusey tones on the overdrive channel. If you are a metal head this amp is not for you, unless you add pedals and an extenstion cab. If you love clean tones and classic Fender overdiven tones without pedals this is your amp.I run through my Blues Deluxe a Fender Deluxe Strat,12 string Ovation acoustic,6 string Ovation acoustic and I also use an nano LPB1 electro harmonix booster just on the overdrive channel to really get the gritty blues tone from my strat.Acoustic guitars sound awesome on the clean channel, also this amp can get very loud, sometimes too loud for small gigs. I had no problems with this amp so far, this amp is excellant, I did notice that the price is going up, don't wait until you cannot afford it.Just do it,you won't regret it.

great amp for the money

Comments about Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue 40W 1x12" Combo Amp:

I have been looking for a larger amp for a while.I picked up this amp ,plugged it in and i couldnt believe the tones i was getting.I could do gentle cleans to smoking overdrive to anywhere in between.I love the nice tweed look, but what impressed me the most was how transparent the cleans were.I could also getsome very nice overdrive sounds out of it too.For the money this amp stood alone bar none.I have been looking for a blues amp and now my search is over. This amp can cover alot of territory.

Great potential with upgraded tubes

By Mike -jElHs

from Florida

Comments about Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue 40W 1x12" Combo Amp:

No doubt this amp is a fine piece for your collection. It has great looks and is built very well. I did, however had the tubes changed out to JJ Telsa and that made all the difference. No more muddy sounds and this has added a significant improvenment to the amps sounds. Well worth the investment! Should have done it when I first got the amp. Now it is a keeper for sure. Mine is the first year of USA production and it still looks new.

Great Amp

By Dale Fortune

from Portland Oregon

Comments about Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue 40W 1x12" Combo Amp:

I have a VOX AC-30, AC-15 and other vintage tube amps. This is one of the best ever sounding amps. I bought this over 2 years ago from 123 and have loved it. It is by far one of the best and most dependable amps i've ever owned/used.

BUY THIS AMP

By Zeke

from Henderson, NC

Comments about Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue 40W 1x12" Combo Amp:

I have a Fender Pro Reverb amp that I have had since 1968. I looked another amp because this one weighs 58 lbs and is too heavy for a 65 yr old to carry. I made the mistake of trying a 65 watt Solid State amp. If you have or are playing a tube amp now there is no need to even consider Solid State. I ordered and received the Fender Blues Reissue Combo Amp. I have never heard an amp any cleaner than this one. The 40 Watts of power is more than enough for most gigs. It still weighs 45 lbs but is not as bulky and the Pro Reverb; and, if you buy a tube amp it is going to be a little heavy. This amp is well built as all Fender Products. This amp will bring out the best in any guitar or style of music you play. For $625.00 you won't find a better tube amp. If you buy from Music 123 you won't be disappointed. Courteous and Great Service

Back to basics

By Roger Hausmann

from Tennessee

Comments about Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue 40W 1x12" Combo Amp:

The looks and the sounds of the 50s and 60s are back in my amp lineup: the Blues Deluxe Reissue is simple, but in the sound-department is no slouch. Loud and clear, or muted blues tones are all in there -not matter if you're playing a single-coil strat or humbuckers. I admit that I can't afford the new Bassman LTD Reissue -which sounds like a million bucks. For less than half off, the Blues Deluxe delivers the goods: tons of volume, a little grit/drive, but it is certainly never a metal amp- look elesewhere for that tone. I am happy that I now have a portable powerhouse that sounds like Leo intended amps to sound: honest, unadulterated, responsive, musical -and affordable!

You Can Pay More but you won't get more with this Amp

By Art-t6T3.

from Memphis , TN

Comments about Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue 40W 1x12" Combo Amp:

This amp got it. I own a Fender Pro Amp,Concert Model and I wish I would have tried this model first. Far less weight to carry around. Great sound. So If you like to play blues and classic rock, this amp will dish out the sound. And when I plug my pedal board into this thing the effects loop really brings in tone. Buy this model and you won't regret it. Again you can pay more but you won't get more than you can get with this Classic Blues Reissue.

SMOOOOOOOTH

By ez-one-OuvQX

from Arkansas

Comments about Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue 40W 1x12" Combo Amp:

This is one of the sweetest sounding amps out there, well worth the money. 2 channels that respond differently when used by themselves, but equalize when being used at the same time. The overdrive does not deliver that heavymetal sound, but for classic rock, blues, and jazz this is one sweet sounding amp. Nice spring reverb, but not over springy. This is pretty much the amp that the Hotrod Deluxe was made from, now taken back to its roots with some extra features. Plus it has that old classic Fender look.
