Two switches for locking in your own personal Big Muff tone.

The Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker is a guitar effects pedal that taps into the sonic power of the legendary Big Muff Pi, and creates new tonal possibilities at the flick of a switch—or two. Use the Wicker switch to open up 3 high-frequency filters for raspy, sustaining distortion with top-end bite, or flick on the Tone switch to bypass the tone control for unabated tonal slam. Want the original Big Muff sound? Just switch off the Wicker and turn on the Tone. The ability to create your own personal Big Muff sound is what truly makes this guitar pedal the Wicked Wicker.

Features
  • True bypass
  • The Wicker switch opens up 3 high-frequency filters providing a sustain that is raspy and defined
  • The Tone switch completely removes the tone control, providing a devastating broadband Big Muff slam
  • With the Wicker switch off and the Tone switch on, you have the original Big Muff Pi
  • 9V battery included

Comments about Electro-Harmonix XO Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal:

Guitar Player since 1975,,, a rabid user of Electro-Harmonix products [I am from NYC, so is EH!] beginning with the original "Big M". I had my legacy Big M perhaps stolen from my storage location and really wanted a close replacement. I use no amp distortion, only stomps.. This new version of the original is not exactly the same but with the new improvements plus the "Tone Wicker" feature.. I am actually liking it more. More options with tone choices yet she retains that nasty growl known for EH distortion products. Get some, get one and crank it until your amp asks for mercy!

    Dripping with Tone

    By Joe-XEkiw

Comments about Electro-Harmonix XO Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've bought this a few weeks ago and I am just as happy with it the as the day it arrived. It's built like a tank and oozes with a think saw like distortion that really has no equal. The Tone Wicker definitely adds more options to the overall sound but the biggest addition to pedal versus the regular big muff is the ability to turn off the tone. With the tone bypassed, notes played are not only louder, but ring through with more clarity and definition. This is a great pedal for a dirty, dirty blues or a classic rock style. Check around on the net for gearmandude for video reviews and comparisons on this and the regular Big Muff Pi. He does a great review and loves this pedal.

    Great Muff

Comments about Electro-Harmonix XO Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is my first muff pedal and it really gives me a different tone compared to a distortion. With all the extra switches, such as the wicker and tone, turned off, you will get the sound of an original big muff. I've played other muffs before buying this one! For people who want to be able to control their tone, turn the tone switch on and use the knob on it to control. The wicker switch also changes the tone and gives more highs, as if there was an OD in front of it. The wicker switch is probably my favorite part of the pedal because it gives more highs and can cut easily into the mix. You will not be disappointed. Its everything you wanted in a big muff and more. Do not hesitate to buy.
