Get the gain-drenched distortion you crave!

The LPB 2ube is the velvety entranceway your instrument has been waiting for. As its name suggests, this line-level preamp uses 2 tubes to deliver optimum gain while remaining quiet and transparent. Offering amazing definition and warmth that you wouldn't expect to find in a footpedal, the LPB 2ube applies a full 300V to the tube plates so you get total performance and power without compromising your tone quality.

In either stereo or dual mono mode, the LPB 2ube offers numerous applications. 2 warm and full frequency inputs and outputs, as well as the potential to gang the I/Os, make for a clean preamp stage with both master volume and master drive controls.

For a clean sound

Comments about Electro-Harmonix Classics LPB 2ube Stereo Tube Preamp Guitar Effects Pedal:

I think I like this pedal. It does compress the guitar's sound, which is something that people don't always mention. Its not in a bad way, but its pretty noticable. You really have to adjust the volume and gain on the pedal and the volume on your amp to get just the right gain structure, for me this means I have to turn my amp's master volume down lower than usual. If everything's adjusted right you can get a very rich and detailed woody/resonant tone, which I had never heard from my setup before. And then you can have two amps going at once, nice. (Fender Stratocaster, Jazzmaster -> Twin Reverb Custom 15")
