Digitech RP 355: Little Fuss, Lots of Music!

By Johannes Ignacio

from Undisclosed

Comments about DigiTech RP355 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

I bought my RP 355 when my old RP 300 As' plastic footwsitch finally cracked. These babies are built to last and the RP 355 is no exception! This one has more recessed footswitches, and a new non slip pedal with a toe activated wah function that's always available.

The unit has an extensive library of amp models, cabs, stomp boxes and effects. I've had the pedal for six months and thus far have used only the factory presets, many of them quite usable. One footswitch toggles between A-B allowing to you to go from clean rhythm to blistering leads on any of the amp models. Effects and distortion can be turned on and off on the fly in "stomp" mode.

With 2 1/4 inch trs, 2 XLR and headphone outs, aux in and a USB port, the pedal can be played literally wherever there is a sound system!

It is scarcely believable that multi effects pedals can hold their own against the onslaught of the all - in - one amps, but the RP 355 does an admirable job. I've used it on a computer with a half decent sound card, a stereo system, a PA, and a bass amp!

I used to practice and record with a digital recorder. The RPP 355 in conjunction with a DAW just made life a lot easier. The only bust is that built in rhythm cannot be used with the 20 second phrase looper.

The RP 355 will not replace the sound of your beloved all tube amp anytime soon. But it has the potential to replace every other piece of seperate gear you're using in order get a decent guitar sound for practice, performance or recording!

Digitech RP355 -excellent!

Comments about DigiTech RP355 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

This device is really good.
I own a RG250, and was interested in an upgrad, after a lot of consulting and googling around, I decided to go out and tested, I liked the sound, I previously downloaded the manula to review the new effects and amps/cabinets.
When it arrived I spent a lot of time reviewing each preset and making comparision between the RP250 and the RP355, and definetly the update is worth. It has in general more punch (better bass handling), better definition, better sonic feeling. the Prescence EQ is very helpfull for coloring, as well as the Amp A/B switch
I'm very pleased with it.
