This little pedal has alot to offer. If you are an active musician or hobbyist this pedal has something you wll use. I find that students will find this pedal invaluable. For practice situations it's great to be able to loop small phrases/progressions and then practice soloing over those using your scales/modes, ect. Computer editing is a breeze, this pedal downloads effortlessly to your PC(can't tell you about MAC because I don't own one). Also by downloading, it frees up your pedal, not that it needs freeing up because you can by larger cards to insert in the back for more recording time(great flexibility). I have also used the CD input for learning new tunes. The feature is great beacuse you can slow down those hard to grasp sections without losing the songs feel. It's nice to to be able to put some rythmn in the loop with the built-in rythmn tones. The auto record/loop function is awsome, so easy and useful to not have to stomp the pedal to start, just stomp to stop. Great pedal all the way around. If your learning this is an awsome tool to use for practice, if not it's an awsome tool in live applications as well.
A diehard analog man where music s concerned, one day it dawned on me that using a nearly 50 year old vintage Echoplex for recording loops probably could be improved upon. A search and word of mouth led me to the Jam Man. When the say "endless possibilities" in the ads for this product, they're not exaggerating. Plus, the recorded quality of the tracks is stunning and noise-free. This is possibly the best money I've spent in years where music is concerned.
Perhaps the funniest thing anyone without a band could get with money. I just got this pedal a day ago and I couldn't put it down. Built like a tank. This pedal would dominate. I'd Rate it over 5 stars if I could. Buy it!
I will not repeat the others comments but the only thing we can discuss about this product is that there s no ON/OFF switch ... I'm sometimes a bit scarry to loose data when I unplug the pedal ... but I never had this problem with the jamming yet and I hope it will never happen !!!
You'll have the time of your life creating, concocting and jamming over your musical creations while controlling everything with your foot (or feet) - keeping your hands free to concentrate on your instrument... which is ideal for stage performances. And it's not limited to just the guitar. ANY instrument with a 1/4" line level can be plugged in - plus an XLR input for a microphone, and 1/8" input for CD & mp3 players, tape recorders, mixer outputs, am radio... you name it! You can sample anything into it - be creative and use your imagination! The output even allows you to use headphones for "silent" jamming. You'll won't want to "put it down"! It'll be the most fun you'll ever have "playing" with yourself!!!
I saw this on-line and had to buy it. I have put myself in a rut with a recent girlfriend and needed a way to get back into the groove. This was the perfect product. The JamMan lets you create hours of music that can be turned into the perfect concoction of music. Easy to use and hours of fun. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for that next piece of the puzzle. ENJOY!
