High voltage for high performance!

With its stereo I/O, the DigiTech HardWire CR-7 is a chorus pedal offering you 7 chorus effects, ranging from Multivoice and Studio to Boutique, Vintage, and more. Precision control knobs include speed, depth, level, and type. True bypass and high-voltage operation are standard features on the DigiTech CR-7 pedal.

The DigiTech HardWire pedals series represents DigiTech's commitment to quality and attention to subtle details. In addition to technical enhancements like true bypass and high voltage operation, all HardWire pedals feature rugged, all-metal construction; a wide, stage-stable footprint; durable, custom-machined metal knobs for a sure grip; and precision potentiometers that guarantee knob positions will stay intact.

The rugged, durable construction of DigiTech Extreme Performance Pedals is just the beginning. Inside each DigiTech HardWire pedal are technological features that serious players require—all updated and improved to their utmost. True bypass preserves the purity of your original tone as signal passes through the pedal, and high voltage operation further protects your sound by eliminating clipping and other signal degradation caused by power drain.

With the high-output pickups found on some electric guitars, it's not unusual to hear clipping when playing through an effects pedal. This occurs when the voltage range produced by a guitar's pickup is greater than the operating voltage of the effects pedal—normally limited to the voltage supplied by the effect's battery or power supply. HardWire pedals incorporate circuitry that increases the operating voltage headroom above that of the typical pedal. As such, HardWire pedals benefit a wider range of guitars and are also at home in an amplifier's effects loop.

HardWire Pedals include the following stage accessories:
Stomplock™ knob guard locks your tone in place and prevent tampering or accidental knob adjustments onstage
Pedal Switch Glow Sticker helps you locate the pedal in adverse stage lighting

Hardwire Chorus

Comments about DigiTech HardWire Series CR-7 Stereo Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

I have an anlaog chorus that I think is a god. But I longed for a good digital chorus sound. Analog colors your tone for better or worse. Digital can give you perfect chorus. Apples and Oranges. This is not like the RP multi-effect chorus. It is miles better with tweekablility that is sounds good up and down the dials. When you turn the level down it sounds the same as when the pedal is off (no volume change or tone or dynamic change). It seems rugged. I would rather have a metal switch because when you feel the click, you know it's on. Great digi-chorus. Sounds great with both my solid state and my all tube amp. Now my seach is over. "8" instead of "10" because, with it being digital, they could give you some kind of saved settings.

The chorus I was looking for!

Comments about DigiTech HardWire Series CR-7 Stereo Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

This pedal can do it all. It can do sounds like a CE-2, Small Clone, or anything really. True bypass, stereo outputs, and a level control is just icing on the cake. It's built like a tank and very solid. It's heavy and won't slide around. I had been through a couple other pedals that just didn't mesh well with my Bugera V22. This one was a perfect fit. I love it.
