Awesome Delay!!!

By J.C. Nelson

Comments about <em>DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal</em>:

I bought because I love DigiTech and needed a Delay. I am getting so much out of this pedal, even with the Loop and Reverse functions (which both rock!). A must buy!!!

Quality and versatility. What more could you want in one pedal?

By Tiim Lynch

Comments about <em>DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal</em>:

I originally bought this pedal to set up a second board at our practice studio to eliminate hauling stuff back and forth. The more I used it, the more I liked it! It is every bit as high in quality as the Boss delay pedal I just sold. The different delay types give you so many more ways to tune your sound than the Boss. Being an older guy, I especially like the Tape setting - reminiscent of the old Echo-Plex I played through many years ago. Great pedal.

Excellent Delay!

By sealevelled

Comments about <em>DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal</em>:

I've had a DigiDelay for over 2 years now, so I have a thorough understanding of it. I play guitar in a rock band, and I gig about twice a month with this pedal. The tones of the various delays are excellent. The digital delay modes stay crisp, and the shortest digital delay is great for quick slapback echoes. The tape delay is very warm, and it's the mode I use most often---the warmth is crucial for live use. The modulated delay adds chorus to the repeats, which actually sounds very lush---it's extremely usable. A neat trick is to set the DigiDelay to modulated mode, then crank the level while minimizing the time knob. It now sounds like a chorus pedal! I don't use the reverse delay, but it does just what it says. As far as the loop function goes... well, this is a delay pedal, not a looper pedal, so don't expect the same level of looping capability. The looper is fun to play with at home, and it's very easy to use, but don't count on the DigiDelay to be a dedicated looper. Tap-tempo is intuitive and extremely useful. Like any advanced feature, you'll need practice before you master it. But once you've got it, you'll find it makes the pedal extremely versatile. For example, you can switch from short to long delay on the fly, during a live performance, just by using tap tempo. The build-quality is superb. After over 2 years of heavy use, it still works perfectly. In fact, at one of my shows, another guitarist's delay pedal shorted out. He had a pricey, boutique analog unit, and it died. He borrowed my DigiDelay and had no problems. For a digital delay pedal, the DigiDelay is excellent. If you need a strong looping pedal or multiple delay presets, look elsewhere (and expect to pay 3 times as much).

Sweet Pedal for Delay, Echo, and Looping!

By Dulcimerist

from Billings, MT

Comments about <em>DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal</em>:

I've owned the DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal since early 2004, and it's my absolute favorite! The stereo output is amazing with a "ping-pong" effect, and the four-second looping feature is a lot of fun! I use the Tape Delay and Mod (Chorus) Delay features the most, and am able to use a long delay to perform canons with a single instrument! Used in conjunction with DigiTech's Multi Chorus and DigiVerb pedals, you can crank out some fat sounds! For some added fun, try turning the Time knob while the DigiDelay plays back some echoes! The only feature I wish this stompbox had is a way to turn off the dry sound, playing back only the echo. These pedals are built like tanks, using metal construction; and produce high-quality, digital sound. Their metallic paint makes them look really cool, too! DigiTech X-Series pedals provide you with the most bang for your buck, and I highly recommend them! Make sure to grab a DigiTech AC power supply so you can save money on batteries!

Better than Boss

By Phil-cl0VG

from Maine

Comments about <em>DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal</em>:

I've had this pedal for more than 2 weeks now and love it. I was looking for something to complain about it but there isnt much. I was initially weary about buying a &quot;digital&quot; pedal because we all know how much better analog is! (LOL). I had the Boss DD6 and that lasted about 3 days. It was a real pain to make it loop seamlessly. And that was a major concern to me. After buying the Digidelay it was a little tough at first but after 4 tries i got it no prob and now its easy, with the Boss no matter what i did it wasnt gonna work. The Reverse feature on this isnt that good, just like the DD6 your guitar still comes thru when you play, but I dont really use it or ever would use the reverse feature because I'm not trying to recreate &quot; Are you experienced&quot; any time soon. Buy the power supply while youre at it because a brand new Alkaline 9v will only last about 4hrs and then some weird stuff starts to happen. I'm not a big fan of Digitech stuff. I do have the RP200 which is cool but I like single effects better and this delay pedal. I think its a great buy and crystal clear sound and adds hardly any noise. Check it out while your are looking at a Boss.

sweet delay

By Matt Smith

from my house

Comments about <em>DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal</em>:

Good delay. I got it about 3 months ago and it is awesome!! The "tap tempo" and looping functions are probably the coolest thing on here. I have only one problem. The loop time is only 4 seconds and I would like to play solos over the riffs I record and some really cool riffs last longer than 4 seconds! Other than that little problem this delay is AWESOME!! I would recommend it to anyone with a little cash and good self esteem regardless of what type of music you play!!!!!! You'll barely have time to be disappointed cuz you'll be to busy with the sick delay!!! Also this was the first pedal I ever bought. Good choice. But you'll want the adapter the battery doesn't last very long. The 2 way output is awesome too! You can hook it up to an amp or a CIT thingy (I never use one so why remember the name)ha! Funny!

For the money it's not bad. However!

By Paul-Xd.9A

Comments about <em>DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal</em>:

It's a little more reverby then I expected and the detents on the selector knob are almost non-existant. Aside from these 2 items, I find it satisfactory.

ultimate stadium rock

By bassman nz

from New Zealand

Comments about <em>DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal</em>:

On its own, this pedal is amazing. The versatility is huge and enough features for the most curious guitarist. However, combined with the Digitech hot rod distortion, you can create the ultimate in stadium rock sounds. I have used it on many occasions when doing covers for the likes of queen, and had comments such as "it was like being at Wembley all over again". that pretty much sums it up. Alone, amazing. With hot rod, out of this world.

digidelay

By s-4Jdp1

from ohio

Comments about <em>DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal</em>:

I've been using the digidelay for about two years now. I hooked one when they 1st came out. Usage includes heavy gigging and occasional recording. I'm a country tele player and use a variety of delay effects including quick slaps, longer ballad type echoes etc. This particular pedal is among the best available. The heads are pristine, not at all digitally harsh. I've used vintage analog delay pedals with much harsher tones. I prefer to loop my delay effects in parallel, same with reverb (digiverb), this gives me more mixing control, quieter, warmer tone etc. Of particular note is the modulated delay mode. This setting yields some of the best chorusing effect available in either pedal or rack format. I highly recommend this pedal for anyone seeking a high performance delay unit.

sick

By mike-LRYDM

from vermont

Comments about <em>DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal</em>:

This delay is the best out there. It sounds great alone or with distortion, flange, phase, whatever. The reverse delay is an added bonus. It can add some trippy effects in to your playing. You can also use the chorus delay setting as a chorus pedal if you turn the repeat and time to zero and level to max. Great pedal. .
