Comments about Danelectro DE-1 Dan-Echo Guitar Pedal:
I had this pedal, and it was stolen. I tried a bunch of new ones out, but for the money, and for what I need from it, this is the best delay pedal
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Danelectro Echo
Comments about Danelectro DE-1 Dan-Echo Guitar Pedal:
WOW! Not only provides the smooth echo/delay, slap back but impressively DURABLE. Mine was borrowed permanently by my son some six years ago and has outlasted other delay pedals with no performance drop-off. Since I am now convinced he's not returning it to me, I am now buying one for myself (he'll probably pull a switcha-roo if I'm not watchful). Highly recommend.

mellifluous,analog delay... my favourite delay
Comments about Danelectro DE-1 Dan-Echo Guitar Pedal:
Yes, I own a couple of digital delays (Digitech 1002 and Boss Revewrb/Delay RV-3) but for my best work, I almost always use the DanEcho. It is warm yet incisive. One can make it "muddy" if called for in a particular song track; however, with its High-Cut knob, "lo/hi-fi" toggle one can get everything from Hank Marvin/Buddy Holly to Pink Floyd/David Torn, tight slap-back rockabilly to the Edge to psychadelic swirls. No kidding, at any price this is a great analog pedal, and at this price I consider it a must-buy. Try it. I believe you will dig it as much as I, unless you are totally into the starness of digital (which is fine, too.) It even comes with a great booklet full of settings to get one started using the pedal. The booklet is a super springboard into finding "your sounds." By the way, it is also solidly built, like a small, lavender tank. Hope this helps someone out there..

Well Worth It
Comments about Danelectro DE-1 Dan-Echo Guitar Pedal:
This is by far the best Tape Echo unit on the market. Everyone should have this until in your studio or just laying around to practice with. Even if your not a big echo fan, you can use the unit as reverb and add a great deal a warmth to your tone in your existing amp. Do it.

Work horse
Comments about Danelectro DE-1 Dan-Echo Guitar Pedal:
This pedal is fantastic, apart from the hunger for batteries-I would recommend a power supply. I've used it for 3 years, in the studio and on the road, it can do rockabilly to Hank Marvin and the solid metal housing, the good switch and the overall retro feel makes it an steal! NICE!

A fairly good echo machine
Comments about Danelectro DE-1 Dan-Echo Guitar Pedal:
I have it now for my delay unit, and am satisfied with it, but it isn't the best that I have ever owned, but good enough to not buy another unit. I have used tape echo's in the past and two other digital delay's. The Danelectro Dan-echo is probably as good as I can get anywhere else, but I did have one that I bought used (no name brand) that was actually a little better, but it finally gave out--non repairable, and now I'm satisfied with the Dan-Echo. I will just have to rate it--the best available.

It's just great!
Comments about Danelectro DE-1 Dan-Echo Guitar Pedal:
This great effect by Danelectro has one of the smoothest echoes I've ever heard. Its warm, clean and goes well with pretty much any guitar tone.It may not have the versatile options of digital delays such as tempo tap, endless repeat and reverse echo. It's great price and great sound make up for that.
