When buying this pedal I was just looking for some nice chorus for cheap. This pedal totally surprised me! Can easily do some really lush chorusing, as well as the wierder sea-sick sort of thing if you like that.. Again, cheap, built well, kind of ugly but whatever.. It does it's job and does it well.

I bought one Danelectro pedal about 8 years ago. I said NEVER again. I couldn't get the "white noise" to quiet down, no matter how far I was from the amp, no matter where my levels were..etc. I reluctantly bought a Cool Cat Chorus from a local electronics outfit when I wanted to add a new effect into my sound. I was sooo reluctant in fact, that the manager said "listen, try it for the weekend. If you don't like it, we'll take it back". So I did. And he did not see me again after that. I was impressed with the improved durability that the Cool Cat series offers. Very cool blue light when in use, feels like it's built like a BOSS. Now I admit, this is not a barefoot pedal. You'll want to wear your shoes as the button is a b***h without them. Multiple EQ, speed & depth control allow broad detail and it's pretty easy to change them between songs. All in all, this is a very good pedal.

I really tried to like this pedal. It had plenty of adjustment parameters, had a great sound, and was built like a tank. BUT... every time I switch it on or off, there is a VERY audible click through my amp. I thought this maybe a defective pedal, but my Cool Cat Transparent OD does the same thing. I wanted to use these in church, but I just can't get past the click. It's a shame, because otherwise both of these sound killer. I still use them at home, but I wouldn't use them live.
