A heavy-duty, precision tuner that's ideal in dark or bright settings.

The Planet Waves Tru-Strobe Pedal Tuner offers professional tuning accuracy in a rugged heavy-duty die-cast housing. The Tru-Strobe is a perfect tuning tool for live performance, recording, and for adjusting intonation.

Using the Planet Waves Tru-Strobe musicians can fine-tune any stringed instrument using the most clear-cut method on the market: the strobe. The tuner offers true strobe accuracy—not a simulation—that ensures precision tuning.

An easy-to-read, circular LCD interface displays a moving graphic showing variance between the input frequency and perfect pitch. When the indicator's motion stops, your instrument is perfectly in tune to ±0.1 of a cent.

The versatile Tru-Strobe tuner boasts true bypass wiring with quiet switching, Buzz Feiten and drop-tuning presets, a wide calibration range, and the benefit of visibility both in full sunlight and on dark stages.

With its heavy-duty, die-cast design and convenient pedal housing, the new tuner is ideal for studio use or on the road—where accuracy competes with clutter, noise, and poor lighting. To that end, the readout is exceptionally bright compared to competing units. Its large back-lit LCD display is visible on dark stages and equally well in full sunlight.

The tuner also is graced with an extremely simple, user-friendly design to promote additional ease-of-tuning. Utilizing the Buzz Feiten Tuning System Offset for guitars to ensure tuning accuracy, Tru-Strobe also employs 6 de-tuning modes for players using drop-tunings. In addition, the tuner incorporates True Bypass wiring that will not affect the original instrument's tone.

Get professional tuning accuracy in a rugged, heavy-duty die-cast housing when you order today.

Comments about Planet Waves Tru-Strobe Pedal Tuner:

This item came in DOA. I put the battery in and the unit did not function. After a minute or so, I noticed the battery getting very hot so I repacked and returned it.

Just what I was looking for

Comments about Planet Waves Tru-Strobe Pedal Tuner:

This is a great little pedal. I lost my old tuner at a gig someplace and was forced to buy another. I knew I wanted a strobe tuner, but didn't know it was this affordable. I don't use alternate tunings for anything, so it was really easy...plug in the batter, plug in my guitar, step on it and tune. Once you understand which way to turn your tuning pegs according to how the strobe is turning, it's really easy. If it's spinning clockwise (right) you're too tight, and tune down. Just the opposite if it's spinning left. Easy. The thing is really heavy and compact, and it's accurate. One of the best features for me, however, is that you can actually see it in darkness or in full sunlight...my other tuner would "wash out" in full sunlight and it was nearly impossible to tune during a gig outdoors in the daylight. I definitely recommend this tuner to anyone who's looking for one.

PW Tru-strobe Tuner

By G Morris

Comments about Planet Waves Tru-Strobe Pedal Tuner:

It works as advertised. It is very heavy and won't roll over on you. It is solid metal, inside and out with metal jacks and thumb screw and a "smoked nickel" chrome finnish. The display bezel is recessed to protect it and helps hide it from the sun. It is extremely accurate, as I compared it to my software strobe tuner, dead on at +/- one tenth of a hertz. My software is Strobe tuner 1.6 from Katsura Shareware and it features a horizontal bar showing the frequency spectrum moving left or right. The original strobe tuner had a spinning disc with a strobing light for the reference note (preset) and another for the incoming note. Very similar to this tru-strobe, but it use's a half circle rotating ring which is easy to follow. I use the Buzz Feiten tuning mode but it also has every popular drop tuning mode also (E flat, drop D, drop C, drop B, etc. You can even create your own tuning scale. Easy to read display that is really big and the back light is bright and can be turned off in daylight. I use a one spot for power, but it also has an in and out for a power daisy chain. Battery compartment is under the foot pedal switch and is simple and fast to replace, you don't even have to pick it up.

So far, so good.....

Comments about Planet Waves Tru-Strobe Pedal Tuner:

A perfect tuner. Solid construction and not bad to look at either! It must weigh a pound.....Much easier user display than a Peterson with the same accuracy. The first test I gave it was to set up my Fender Thinline intonation. Dialed it right in. It's incredibly sensitive, which I like, but this may be a distraction for those players who really don't care about being perfectly in tune. I've never trusted a tuner for a "final tune" scenario, but this one comes closer than any I've used before but only if you have the patience to use it correctly. Minus a star 'cause sometimes I can't figure out what it's doing as far as it's "mode" is concerned. I just need to read the user guide another time.
