Comments about Bugera 1990 Infinium 120W British Bite Tube Guitar Amp Head:
This amp is amazing! The tone is great with varying amounts of gain. Two channel dual reverb that can be switched from 120 watts to 60 watts. The breakup is smooth and consistent and the gain is plentiful without the loss of the tonal structure. Tone controls are very responsive. I have this hooked up into a 5150 cab and it sounds great. I play a variety of music: Modern Rock, Classic Rock, Blues, Fusion and Instrumental Rock. The most amazing thing is you get this well built amp, that is probably close to 50 pounds. People complain about the resonite(hard plastic) tube sockets but I find those just as stable and less prone to erosion than any metal sockets.
I have switched the tubes from 5881 to 6V6(low power) and it auto biased itself. Now I have bought another one of these heads and one is stock and the other has 6V6 tubes for approximately a 60-70 watt head with half power of 30-35 watts - perfect for any small or medium size club. The infinium technology assists in expanding the life of the tubes with its auto bias features.
Love this amp!!! It will be heard in any band or any stage and it will sound great.
