If your drummer plays with metronome, you can use your DD-20 as a very accurate looper. Do not use loop mode! Choose standart mode, set your track`s bpm / 4, then set the longest delay interval (whole note). Press the left pedal. DD-20 will start recording when you start to play, and finish after 4 strokes. (4/4).

I love my Boss DD-20 Gigi-Delay pedal,as it gives me everything that I need,and so much more.The sound quality is simply superb and the different delay settings give up multiple shades of ambient richness.The DD-20 is also switchable for use with both line/fx loop and instrument levels,which is a nice touch.The tone control and easy to read delay time [in milliseconds] add to the DD-20's ease of use and flexibility.My overall favorite setting is in the DD-20's Tape mode [440 to 640ms] with the tone at about 1 o'clock.Great for '80's hair metal solos.As for the pedal's quality,it's typical Boss...built like a tank.I highly recommend the Boss PSA-120 power supply,as the Gigi-Delay goes through batteries quickly.The Boss DD-20 is a flexible,high quality delay that has just about every feature that any delay lover could ever want.I give it a well earned 10.

Being new to the concept of delay or sound on sound, it didn't take me very long to get this pedal going. It's perfect for helping me time out a good rhythm and then lay a nice little solo on top of it. Couldn't ask for a better pedal.

I prefer the transparent tones of a good tube amp, hence I use a DD-6 to color phrases and add depth. This unit is in line behind the DD-6 in the signal path, when I want more of an active, deep echo or delay. The Giga Delay is the best pedal you can buy, IMO. Programmable with memory settings, easy to learn and use (even for us older non-techie players) and powerful, with a crystalline "smooth" setting, and a realistic tape emulation.
