Well I bought this amp because my other amps did not produce sound to my standards. My moto is to test amps until you find the best possible (I have the money to do so). My testing has come no further as when I get gigs at New York parties, I use this Behringer AT108. Amazing sound. It contains some kind of technology. Its amazing in sound and nobody I knew believed me when I told them the price. You won't believe the smoothness of this amp until you try it out. When I play on it the room goes quiet and eyes are all focused on me. BUY THIS NOW.

I bought this amp based on the good reviews I saw here and elsewhere. I received it one week ago, and my experience with it was awfully short. I plugged it in to the power outlet, then plugged in my instrument, then turned it on. The sound was ok but I noticed a soft popping sound coming out of the amp. I tried to get rid of it changing cables, and turning knobs but the annoying sound kept coming out. Also, the CD-in channel wasn't working. Suddenly, the amp started to throw lots of smoke and to produce a really loud "grunt." I just had to turn it off and unplug it. I thought it was going to explode and cause a fire! Fortunately that didn't happen. People at music123 have been wonderful and paid for the shipment returning the amp, and now I am exchanging it for something dependable. No Behringer for me any more. I was thinking I was really unlucky with this amp, but I just remembered that some years ago a friend and I had bought a Behringer bass amp for our band and lasted for only three months. In my mind, Behringer means terrible quality and a waste of time and money. I would definitely buy from music123 again, but never Behringer products.

Comments about Behringer Ultracoustic AT108 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I ordered it to use with CD player for Hula Performances to amp sound which worked great. Problem was using Mic with XLR adapter to 1/4" plug did not work at all, I had to order a XLR cable and mic and waiting to try that out. If the mic works well it will be the perfect combination for our performances to be able to interpit the Hawaiian songs as the performers dance. I will see when the new XLR cable and mic is delivered.

Perfect for our home & Children's fellowships to hook up a microphone & Keyboard! It was exactly what I was hoping for! Arrived on time well packaged! Had a very good shopping experience... I took my time & even shopped around at local pawn shops but the price, features & quality convinced me to buy at this site. When the need arise, I will shop here again!

Comments about Behringer Ultracoustic AT108 Acoustic Combo Amp:

This little amp is much better than I expect. It has 3 inputs as advertized (instrument, microphone and MP3 input), all can be plugged in at the same time.
I am surprise at its power in this small size. It's pretty loud. Way too loud in my large house, about right when I bring out to my large backyard and play there (with my MP3 playing background music).
It reproduces very good acoustic sounds, I tried my acoustic/electric guitar and acoustic/electric mandolin, both sounds with their own acoustic sounds. It sounds better when it's about 4 yards away from the listener, I have to stay out that far when playing.
I plan do buy a second one (so I can have two singers singing on two different mics).

          Versatile Little Amp

          By Roth Bartley

          from Undisclosed

Comments about Behringer Ultracoustic AT108 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I really enjoy using this little amp. Surprisingly, I use it regularly for two very different purposes. It provides plenty of distortion free volume for my Ovation acoustic electric guitar in a small church. I also use the amp for small group presentations when showing videos through my laptop computer and a LED projector. Using a miniature to 1/4" phone plug adapter, I plug my laptop's audio/out into a guitar cable and into the amp's CD input jack. I'm also able to use the microphone jack when speaking to the audience. A slight downside is that the volume for the CD input must be controlled by the laptop volume control, as there there is not a volume control on the amp's CD output. You need a laptop with reasonably strong output signal. For a lightweight and portable amp, it does an amazing job for the money. I would buy one again.

          AT108 great for practice & small/med spaces

          By Scott Swix

          from Rockford, MI

Comments about Behringer Ultracoustic AT108 Acoustic Combo Amp:

Excellent combination of tone, portability, flexibility and price. I've enjoyed using the AT108 at for a year now as a practice amp at home and in support of acousitic/electric worship music in small to medium spaces. Also at Vacation Bible School. With the instrument, mic and CD input (you do need a RCA to 1/4" adapter for CD music) the AT108 serves multiple purposes very well. I'd not consider it a good choice for hard rock, nor loud enough for large spaces (or very high volume in smaller spaces) but it certainly works great for me.

Comments about Behringer Ultracoustic AT108 Acoustic Combo Amp:

Sweet little practice/recording amp. I love it. I sounds great with my acoustic and my nylon string acoustic/electric too. I plug in my Ibanez using either 1/4 or mic plug and it sounds perfect. The tube sim. sound is great. I love that you can also plug in CD for practice too, nice feature. Great price. This amp sounds wonderful for it's small size. I was surprised at the quality for the price and the size of speaker. Mic even sounds okay. EQ knobs are sensitive as well and will make quite a difference in tone. This is a great deal. Volume levels are surprising. This is overall a great deal and would easily gig a small venue.

Needed a cheap answer to a big question

          By Dan-Oz6QD

Comments about Behringer Ultracoustic AT108 Acoustic Combo Amp:

Needed a small amp to play my acoustic guitar with a microphone input for vocals. This amp had all that and more. It actually has a cd input so I could accent my music with background instrumentation. This certainly met my needs, the sound is great. Just what I needed at a very reasonable price.

          very good 15watt amp

          By brad-1_6tv

          from east coast

Comments about Behringer Ultracoustic AT108 Acoustic Combo Amp:

After analyzing what I really need an amp for, I decided to get this amp. My needs for an amp are as follows: I need something that will amplify my guitar without changing the sound; the largest place I'll probably play in is a small church or a small hall so massive loudness is not required. This amp is perfect for my needs...it doesn't sound cheap. If you will be playing for a band don't get this. After playing for 5 years I'll probably never play in a band but for what I need this provide, my arpeggios pattern really shine on these babies.
