The rush you've been looking for.

Akai E2 Headrush

HEADRUSH also simulates a 4-head analog tape echo machine with control over decay and spacing between virtual tape heads to create complex multiple delays and repeats. The signal from each virtual head appears on an individual output for multiple returns when used with an external mixing console. The LOOPING RECORDER mode allows you to record and overdub layer after layer of sound in real-time making the HEADRUSH an unbelievable live performance tool. Depending upon which mode is selected, the left footswitch controls the on/off and play/stop functions while the right footswitch sets the tap delay time or recording and overdub options. The LED display indicates which effect in use and blinks in time showing the delay time selected.

Features
  • 0.5 to 35 second delay
  • 4-head tape echo simulation
  • Looping recorder
  • Emulated analog delay sound
  • Adjustable repeat times
  • Mix wet and dry signals to output

The Headrush is a beast of a delay pedal . . . pedal . . . pedal . . . pedal. You'll love it; so don't delay--order now . . . now . . . now . . . now . . . now.

Out of the loop

By

from Undisclosed

Comments about Akai Professional E2 Headrush Delay/Looper Pedal:

The headrush is fairly quiet and the delay is just ok IMHO. Does anyone buy this for delay and if so does anyone really use all the outs? It seems like a waste to me and I wish they had applied these resources to more control over what everyone dous actuall buy this peda lto do: looping. Loops start playing as soon as created. You can't record a loop without triggering instant playback. If your'e song is A B A B (solo over 2nd B) .... Also, you can't record a new loop without first stopping playback so if you are soloing over A and want to go right into recording B you will have to play 2 bars of B before you can build it up or solo. True bp would be nice as it does thin tone. Still it is clean, simple an has a reasonable footprint

The Name Says it all!

Comments about Akai Professional E2 Headrush Delay/Looper Pedal:

This is a great pedal for all those musicians that want to do much more but don't have friends around that can play any instruments. The echo, and tape delay do a great job, but the main reason I bought this pedal was for the looping. It gives about 30 sec. loop time and you can layer plenty. I've had so many hours of fun making loops. Only thing I wish this had was another input for a mic, so I can perform with the pedal.

Great Delay / Loop Combo

By

from Los Angeles, CA

Comments about Akai Professional E2 Headrush Delay/Looper Pedal:

I chose to go with this pedal mainly because it offered both delay (two types) and loop recording. Other great features on it are true bypass switching and tap tempo for the delay (something that other popular delays don't always carry), and it doesn't take up as much space as some other delays that offer more than just a delay pedal like the E2. The delay sounds great on thing, as does the loop playback (I was really surprised at how good this sounded, as I've heard other loop recorders that aren't as impressive!) The only reason I'm giving this review a 4 instead of 5 is because I wish the loop recording time was longer. It's long enough for most of the things I do, but then again, I only occasionally use the loop recorder. Did I mention that Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead has one of these on his pedal board? Listen to the beginning of a live clip of 'I Might Be Wrong'... that's the E2's looper in action.
