Aguilar GS 112 NT

Comments about Aguilar GS 112NT 1x12 Bass Cabinet:

Great little cab. Dont expect volume miracles out of this thing, despite the hype. I own 2, 1 with tweeter, and 2of these are about as loud as a mediocre 4X10 cab that I own. Give it plenty of juice (500 watts solid state) I use it solo for practice or with my upright for quartet/quintet gigs, or pair it with another GS 112 (with tweeter)and you can rock out medium sized gigs. Well balanced, sounds good through my solid state head or my Aguilar DB 359 tube amp. I like it better than the version with the tweeter, since it is lighter, cheaper, and I don't like tweeters. I keep the tweeter off on the tweeted version. I actually slap and pop plenty, but eschew that awful "scooped" sound with the big suckout in the middle, which a lot of people seem to push as "THE" sound for slap. give me classic round bass sound with plenty of mids. These can do a beautiful hi fi sound, or classic with big bottom. A 2nd Speakon jack would have been nice. I don't mind the single handle. these are light enough for 1 hand. 2 of these make a nice portable rig. Great product, would buy again. Rig is: Upright with Gage realist pickup OR Warwic streamer stage I or corvette fretless into Aguilar DB 359 or Carvin B 800 head, into GS 112s, or a Fender 410 pro SL or Hartke 115 XL. No effects, compression, or stomp boxes baby.

Very nice cab

Comments about Aguilar GS 112NT 1x12 Bass Cabinet:

first off, let me say this cab is perfect weight/size i run my gk backline 600 head through it, and i love the tone. It gets pretty loud for its size too. I plan on buying a second one to have a nice modular 2x12 setup to run 4 ohms when i really need volume.
