Martin

Excellent craftsmanship and solid Hawaiian Koa for a full, authentic sound.

Martin has built the world’s finest ukuleles since 1916, and tenor ukes since 1929 that have long been prized for their full-bodied voice and great volume. The T1K tenor-sized model features top, back and sides crafted of solid Hawaiian koa, a wood native to Hawaii and a favorite of island players. Entire body is finished in high quality satin lacquer, and features an applied dovetail neck joint. The T1K Uke is a beautiful example of why Martin is still the name in superior quality ukuleles.

Includes gig bag.

Comments about Martin Tenor Ukulele Koa:

I play piano but wanted something I could bring with me. Started with riptide acacia but ended up taking back two. While looking for another i picked up the TK1 and strummed it a bit. I must have gone back to the store three times. I ended up with this Martin TK1. I paid the extra dough and it was worth it. Then I noticed the saddle was not in the bridge. How could this thing play without it? Very well, i couldn't believe it nor could anyone else. They ordered me a second one and so far so good. They play so nice, great sound and this one has really nice grain patterns. Build is nice, I'm happy now :-)
