The MS205 mic stand is very solid and sturdy.There are no short cuts in the development of this stand.I compared it to my ON STAGE mic stand which is also nice but this one is much better .If your looking for a mic stand that will last a lifetime this is it.

If you've ever purchased a cheap mic stand only to find it ends up being a hassle - boom doesn't stay put , constantly having to adjust, etc, then buy this Tama Stand! For a few bucks more you will have the finest stand available. Stays where you adjust it to with more ease than I could imagine. It is built solid - last one you'll ever buy!

Excellent price and a great value. The Tama stands are worlds apart from their similarly priced competition. Way better build quality and their clutches last. Certainly a much better than the On Stage brand stands.
