I always loose my pics, but even worse is when you are giging and in the middle of a song the pick starts turning and you are playing with the side of the pick. I play hardcore and death metal so I play pretty aggressively and these picks stay put in my fingers and I get the best forced harmonics with them too.

Just What I Was Looking For

Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:
The picks I used to use had a sandpaper-like surface that wore down quickly. The attack edges on those picks also wore down quickly. As I was starting to run out of those old picks, I started my search for replacements. I wanted something that had comparable grip, but was made with better quality. I found it. Snarling Dogs Brain guitar picks are what I was looking for. I practice at least half an hour a day except for Thursdays when I have at least a couple of hours of worship team practice and Sunday mornings when I have worship team practice and the service. These picks haven't come close to wearing down. Their sound quality is good and I don't have to worry about dropping them. I'll definitely buy these again.

Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:
I normally use Cool Picks, which have a fine sandpaper grip. The Cool Pick LT (.50mm) and the Cool Pick THIN (.60mm) were what I used for the past four years, but they aren't sold locally and are difficult to obtain in normal (small) quantities online. I normally visit my old town, two states away, once a month and pick some Cool Picks up from my old favorite music store. I haven't been able to visit that place in a while, so I was in desperate need of picks. I remembered a time, years ago, when a buddy let me hold his Brain pick and thought it might be close to the grip that I'm used to. I read some reviews online that said the .73mm Brain is like a .60mm, so I ordered some .73mm Brains. I don't think that comparison was accurate, but I feel like I have more control with the .73mm, so I'm sticking with it. I like the grippy-ness of the Brain picks, but they're just not the same as Cool Picks. I give these a 4-star rating because they're good, but they're not Cool Picks, which are the best.

Great Grip!
Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:
I've always had a slight pick slip problem. When, I came across these in a magazine, I ordered some. They have little dimples that help prevent slippage. I then ordered a few boxes in five sizes or so. I still have a bunch . . . I may have to order some more, because years ago I had found another pick and then, I couldn't buy them anymore.
I love these picks. I rarely give a ten, but this was a no brainer

Favorite pick.
Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:
I use several different types of picks when I play acoustic or electric guitar. But my favorite material to fall back on is nylon.
The .53mm is the best nylon pick I have ever used. This pick is consistent in thickness from one pick to the next. And the grip is excellent. Not abrasive on the fingers but easy to hold.
Some brands make picks in the same package that feel different from one to another. Or, they change shape after only a few uses.
But I have found these lasting longer in stiffness and keeping their shape better than the other brands.
I highly recommend trying these out for the feel and for the sound.
Plus they come in that cool little tin and are bright green.

Great picks, good price, but a little thin...
Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:
Super nice picks that are easy to hold on to and stay in place by way of a handy little grip. I've used Dunlop Tortex for years and find the Dogs a bit easier to hang on to, but they do run a bit thinner than the equivalent Tortex. I'd recommend bumping up a thickness level or two to get the same level of stiffness.

Great for beginners
Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:
I got a set of 0.60s to play my acoustic and I find them easy to grip and easy for strumming as a beginner. Other picks I have used have made it difficult for me to practice strumming due to grip or stiffness, but not these! I highly recommend these for anyone and these will be my pick of choice from now on!

Awesome grip, run thin
Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:
The grip is great. It feels weird at first because it is almost like coarse sandpaper, but once you get used to it you'll never use a regular flat pick again. Heavy strumming or precision picking, these things are always where you want them. My only complaint is that the .73 runs a bit thin (red ones). So if you like .73's go with the .88's for a more true-to-size pick.

no more sliding
Comments about Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks and Tin Box:
These brain picks works wonders! I love the grip that they provide! I no longer have to worry about my pick slipping, sliding, and flying off. My fingers tend to sweat like crazy and these withstands all the sweat my fingers pour out. The grip feels great that I just want to rub my fingers against them. These picks last a long time and really you only need one of these... okay, maybe two, just in case you lose the other. They're just plain awesome!
