Comments about SKB 4-Space ATA Rack Case:
Racks have one of the most blue collar, thankless, utilitarian job in all of music equipment. They aren't sexy like a guitar, powerful like an amp or showy like a drum kit.... they just haul stuff. In fact most of us don't think about them unless they break or run out of room.
Eighteen years ago I replaced a 40+ lbs plywood rack with my SKB ATA rack. I recall being amazing at how much lighter my bass rack was and how much easier the handles made it to carry. Over the years I've owned a few of these but my original SKB rack continues to be used on a weekly basis. It's been on the road, in the studio, played SXSW, church services and hundreds of bar gigs. It's kept my expensive gear dry loading in/out in the rain and snow and safe during the occasional brutal ride in a truck bed and tumble.
What else can I say; SKB makes great racks. Money well spent and highly recommended!
