The Shubb Original C-Series Steel String Capo is slightly curved and 2" across. This caop fits almost all acoustic steel-string and electric guitars.
The Original C-Series steel string capo features a patented locking action that provides an unrivaled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in placeāand removes it just as quickly.
And the Shubb C-Series capo doesn't create tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so the capo doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand's, so the Shubb Original C-Series Steel String Guitar Capo doesn't pull strings off center. As a result, no retuning is necessary.

Just throw your other capos away and buy this.
Comments about Shubb Original C-Series Steel String Guitar Capo:
I didn't think I was going to be blown away by a capo, but I just was. The Shubb is fabulous. It keeps tuning perfectly, you can adjust the tension so it holds down the strings just as your hand would, and it applies even pressure. I not only have a guitar that stays in tune, but there is also less string buzzing or 'clam' notes because of this thing.
All that said, my favorite unspoken feature is that this thing is small and unobtrusive. It stays out of the way of your hand more than any other capo I've played. You can't clip it on your headstock, but if you actually care about your performance there is no buying any other capo, just shove this in your pocket and be happy. I noticed the difference with your first open chord.
I've own several kyser capos, some weird one with an elastic band, and some kyser knock off. All those capos are dead to me now. I'm order a second Shubb right now.

Doesnt bite your neck
Comments about Shubb Original C-Series Steel String Guitar Capo:
This is the only capo I've ever owned and it works great on both my Taylor acoustic as well as my electrics. The beauty of this capo is the adjustment knob. You can adjust the pressure so that you're not leaving marks on the back of your guitar neck or squeezing the strings so tight that they go sharp. You can set the Shubb so that it grabs the strings the same as your fingers would fretting a barre chord. Be aware that with some of the cheaper spring type capo's, they squeeze the strings so tight that they can prematurely wear out your frets. This is an expensive repair so a few bucks more now is worth it in the long run. If there is any negative to the Shubb is that you cant clip it to the headstock for easy access.

Capos have come a long way
Comments about Shubb Original C-Series Steel String Guitar Capo:
The Shubb Original C Series Steel String Capo is a technological masterpiece. Works great. This capo is so much more than the rubber-padded steel bar with an elastic attachment piece.

Great design
Comments about Shubb Original C-Series Steel String Guitar Capo:
I've been using Shubbs for years, along with a couple Kysers and like them both for different situations. I like the Shubb because of the size. I like the Kyser because of the ability to clip it to the headstock when not in use, as well as the ability to instantly change positions with one hand. I've never had an issue with tuning using either one after seeing JD Crowe's guitar player. I thought it was amazing he never had to re-tune and then I noticed how he was positioning his capo. He'd position the edge of the rubber sleeve ON TOP of the fret instead of ahead of it, thus completely avoiding any string stretching. So he was in effect clamping the strings directly against the fret. I couldn't wait to get home and try it myself....and it works with either a Shubb or Kyser. If you position the very edge of the capo's rubber sleeve so it's pretty much aligned with the edge of the fret and not extending beyond the edge of the fret into the active playing area (which will muffle the strings), you'll get a clean sound with very little-to-no need for retuning.

Shubb capo
Comments about Shubb Original C-Series Steel String Guitar Capo:
I've tried many, many capos, and I keep coming back to this one. The design is tried and true, hasn't been changed significantly in a decade or so, because it works. Goes on easily, stays in tune, and allows you to adjust tension to just the right amount. Not the fastest capo to apply in live situations, but it stays in tune way better than those clamp types that squeeze the daylights out of your strings and puts your guitar out of tune. I love this capo.

Works Great
Comments about Shubb Original C-Series Steel String Guitar Capo:
I was looking for a capo that fits closer to the fingerboard and this one does. It makes fingerpicking easier. It doesn't clip to the guitar when not in use as my old spring loaded capo did but I like it better when I am using it. I didn't give it a 5 because I am still looking for the perfect capo which in my opinion would fit close to the fingerboard when in use and have a quick connect clip like the larger capos.

Great capo!
Comments about Shubb Original C-Series Steel String Guitar Capo:
Have used other capos before and this one rocks! Very compact and easy to carry. Can easily be slipped into a pocket.Adjusts perfectly on my electric. Unlike some others with aggressive springs, this one doesn't make my guitar go out of tune temporarily from mashing the strings too hard.Goes on and comes back off in a flash. The low profile design means it's not likely to get caught on shirt sleeves or get in the way when hitting low notes.Solid design and good clamping. Only beef is it can't be quickly clamped to the headstock when not in use. Not a big deal but got used to doing so with the spring-loaded capos.

easy to put on
Comments about Shubb Original C-Series Steel String Guitar Capo:
I used a squeeze type dunlop capo before and this is much easier to put on. Plus you are able to vary the tightness with a screw so you dont squish the strings out of tune at certain frets. It just snaps on, no awkward squeezing needed. When on correctly, it is less prone to putting the low E string out of tune. Expensive, but I think it works well so it's worth it.

I've tried them all, and the only one that doesn't put my guitar out of tune is Shubb! Fast, easy, you name it. Shubb has them all beat by a mile.
