For that searing, crushing Dimebag tone!
The Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker is an electric guitar pickup that helps you make your own metal massacre tone. It uses a powerful ceramic magnet coupled with stainless steel blades to generate a take-no-prisoners attitude. The secret to Dime's crunch is the small amount of metal mass in the core of the pickup. This allows both high D.C. resistance and a high resonant peak. The result: a high-output, aggressive humbucker with lots of treble bite and clarity, combined with punchy bass response and exceptional dynamics. The SH13 Dimebucker is perfect for hard rock and heavy metal.
Features
- Powerful ceramic magnet coupled with stainless steel blades generates take-no-prisoners tonality

When I first played my guitar with this in it, I forgot I was plugged in... thats how much PURE tone and clarity this thing can take. It sucks out your tone and throws it through the amp with both clarity and the searing distortion. Pinch harmonics are now easier than ever to make, I can breath on the strong and it will sing and the natural harmonics created ring out with passion and seemingly endless sustain. I would have paid twice as much for my pickup and still walked away with a deal.

I've had this in my guitar for over a year now and its a decent pickup. People are definately over-rating this product because of Dimebag. Its too muddy, unless all you want to do is turn off your mids then this pickup isn't for you. I wanted that at first now that I've used it recording and in live practice it low mids doesn't pass the test.

Dimebucker!!
Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker Pickup:
I have a B.C Rich Bich and the stock bridge pickup wasn't doing it for me. I loved how the pickup looked and Dimebag used it so I bought it and it makes a huge difference! I usually use active pickups but I love the way this one sounds. I had to raise the pickup close to the strings to make the output level with the stock neck pickup. That is my only gripe it's no big deal though I'm glad I got it.

FREEKING AWESOME
Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker Pickup:
Before I bought the dimebicker, I asked a friend of mine if it was any good because he is one of the best guitarists in the state. He said that it was awesome. So I had one put in my Ibanez jet king. It made a really cheep guitar sound flipping awesome. The distortion is mind-blowing and even with lots of gain, the clarity is still there. I found that it is also good for CLEEN sounds as well.

one of the best Metal pickups
Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker Pickup:
I've been using the dime bucker for one year with an Ibanez RG guitar and I can't find a better sound yet. Far away better from original Ibanez pickups, it spreads a unique Metal sound under distortion. Due to its equalization it makes your sound full of trebles. The more you increase gain, the best it sounds!

Great
Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker Pickup:
When this thing first came out a few years ago, I knew I had to have it. A dean dime model at a local music store had this pickup in it and I played that for a while to get a feel for its sound. I bought it and installed it into my BC RICH Custom NJ Warlock, and it just screamed. Perfect for use with a Floyd Rose. Note: This pickup is fantastic for DISTORTION. It is horrible for clean sounds.

WTF
Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker Pickup:
This is the best pickup ever made! I have one in my Dimebag Darrell guitar that I made myself and this pick screams with sweet distortion. Also I would buy a Dunlop Dimebag CryBaby Effect pedal to make is sound ever better.

The ultimate Heavy Ness pickup
Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker Pickup:
This pick up is the best pick up I have ever heard, its in a Epiphone Explorer and the chops have the chop and not the slop. Crunchy clean sound with the distortion brought out with less sloppiness. The Ultimate Heaviness pick up even with a small amp.

Not Great, Not Bad Either
Comments about Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker Pickup:
I was looking high and low for a monstrous distortion. After getting the Dimebucker installed, I definitely found it. But the continuous feedback and noise (even after using 3 different noise gates) pretty much turned me off on it. If you're hoping to get the same sound as Dime, this won't do it. Oh, you'll get some heavy distortion, but not the tone he had. Throw an EQ into your rig and see what you CAN get out of it.
