Hotter and louder than both the Vintage Staggered (SSL-1) Hot Stack (STK-S2) pickups, Cool Rails are for players who need a loud, punchy single coil sound for stage work. Cool Rails are great on their own and also make an excellent match on a guitar with a hot humbucker in the bridge position. Specify black or white, neck or bridge. 4-conductor cable.

Put this on the neck of my American Standard Strat with 5 position switching. MIddle--put Seymour Duncan Vintage SVR-1 and bridge put Seymour Duncan Hot Rail. Awesome sound to create versatility and my own creative sound. Tweak these rails with your preferred amp & settings and what a joy to play no matter one's level of experience. Price is very reasonable, easy installation without major changes to the guitar. Seymour Duncan makes great humbuckers for guitars with single-coil pickups. What joy is there in playing without one's own creative sound. These rails give it.

This pickup is absolutely amazing. I put it in the neck position of my mex. strat and the guitar came to life. I was very suprized by the distortion and sustain. If you can find the right spot you can hold a note longer than you'd care to find out. AMAZING
