The Zoid Clip-On Tuner is an amazingly simple chromatic tuner that'll get your guitar, bass, or other stringed instrument in tune in no time. Just clip it on to your instrument, and the Zoid displays the note you play. The bright, two-color LCD display with its high-resolution needle and big note indicator tells you exactly what note you are playing and if you are flat or sharp with a ±50 cent indication. If the LCD fires bright green, you are in-tune. If you are in the red, the needle lets you know if you're flat or sharp. With the Zoid tuner, you can either tune using the clip that transfers the note directly to the tuner—great for noisy rooms—or tune with the built-in mic if you want to tune up several instruments at once. It has a 7-octave tuning range for a wide variety of instruments, with a 3-minute auto-shutoff when it receives no signal.

Works in my house, but not at a jam session when other people are blowing. Now, less than a year later, I have to pop the battery lid and press the battery down for it to work. I emailed the company, but they never got back to me. I see a chance to buy one that is slightly mor than 1/2 the price with free shipping today, so I am going to check that one out (maybe). BTW, my in line Boss TV1 tuner also was difficult to use at the jam session???

This tuner works really good in my living room but in the din of a bar before a show (even without music playing) it has trouble picking up my acoustic guitar. It seems almost any ambient noise renders it useless. I keep it clipped on all the time at home but will have to go to an in-line tuner for gigs.

Great idea. Not so great performance. It doesn't seem to be sensitive enough for my 5 string bass, particulaly the low B. Not bad in a pinch though. I wouldn't buy it again.
